Do you plan to/Did you ever do a boudoir photo session? No, some things just don't need to be photographed.

Did you?do you plan on having a groom's cake? If so, what of? (photos) We did! It was a simple sheet cake with H's alma mater on it. He loved it.

One part of planning that your guy enjoys: I don't think he enjoyed anything per se, but he really helped out. A lot.

One part (or more) of planning that your guy abhors: We both hated printing everything and tying ribbons on 150 favor boxes.

Do you plan to/Did you ever do a trash the dress photo shoot? No, probably not.  I'd love to, but I want to donate my dress to a good cause, so I don't want it to be damaged so someone else has to get it professionally cleaned -- and it's not in the cards for me to do it financially.

Do you plan to/Did you ever do a trash the dress photo shoot? Noooooo.  I love love love my dress, and I would feel terrible about messing it up/trashing it.  I know that all it's going to do for the rest of my life is hang in the closet in it's box, but really, I just can't imagine trashing it.

One part of planning that your guy enjoys: He seemed to hate venue selection and meeting with the DJ the least, so I'll go with those things as his favorite.

Do you plan to/Did you ever do a trash the dress photo shoot? Nah I don't think so.  I wish I was that ballsy, but I can't see trashing the garment I've spent the most money on and getting a trash-the-dress-dress defeats the purpose IMO

Did you?do you plan on having a groom's cake? If so, what of? (photos) No grooms cake, he wants chocolate delight so we're doing a Grooms Dessert - which apparently is what the Groom's "Cake" was traditionally (according to my baker anyway).

We were going to do it right after around Santiago, but we didn't have time, so now I'm thinking we might wait til we're in CA in March and do it in San Francisco.

Do you plan to/Did you ever do a boudoir photo session? Yes. I actually did them before we were even engaged (for free) because my BFF is a photographer and needed some b-pics for her portfolio. H and I were her go-to models when she was starting out

One part (or more) of planning that your guy abhors: Writing thank you notes for gifts we've already received from his family has been a struggle. I've had to write a lot of thank you notes from the shower and presents that have come from my family so far. I think it's only fair that he write a few, or at least feed me the words while I write. I think our thank you note ratio is like 30 written by me to his 1. I'm definitely going to have to put some incentive on fi-written thank you notes.

Licia - our ratio of thank yous written by H and thank yous written by me is 0 to 150.  Yes, I wrote them all.  Every. Single. One.  I knew there was absolutely no way H would write a thank you note in a timely manner so I just wrote them all.  Control freak?  Maybe, but I didn't want our guests to think badly of us for not getting them out in an appropriate time frame (no offense aerin )

Did you ever do a trash the dress photo shoot?  No.  I donated my dress to Brides Against Breast Cancer.  There was one shot I actually really wanted, of me in my dress on my scooter, helmet and all, but alas.  (Though I should note that I've seen very few TTD shoots that actually damage the dress beyond a basic cleaning; unless the bride specifically requests that she wants the garment destroyed, usually the photographer is pretty careful.)

Did you ever do a boudoir photo session?  DH and I have an unspoken rule that we don't commit anything to film that we wouldn't want showing up in a tabloid later in our careers.

Did you plan on having a groom's cake? If so, what of? (photos)  No, mainly because DH was so enamored of our main cake idea.  We did ice cream birthday cakes for the RD.

One part of planning that your guy enjoys:  He had the run of the menu, which he was happy about.

One part (or more) of planning that your guy abhors:  He practically begged me to stop talking about my stylist woes with him.  Unfortunately I do my most effective thinking aloud, so he sort of suffered through it until I booked someone.

And Frogurt, no offense taken.  I know that I should feel bad about it taking this long.  I convinced DH that we need to head up to Yosemite next weekend because it's the last chance we'll have before we move (we're busy the rest of the month, and then it's snow until spring), so maybe I'll take them along with me in the car and just bang them out.

I haven't ... yet ... but I also still haven't taken my dress to be preserved (Even though I've already paid to have it done), because I keep thinking "I want to wear it, just one more time". So I'm still debating doing one ... I just don't want to get it so messy that it wouldn't be able to be preserved afterwards.

Despite how "open book" everybody thinks I am, I'm actually incredibly shy and reserved when it comes to bedroom-related matters. I toyed with the idea of doing one, because I know DH would love it ... but the truth is, I don't have the balls, lol.

We didn't have one-honestly, we'd never even heard of them until I joined TK. It's a cool idea ... but to be perfectly honest, when it came to "extras", if it wasn't included in our venue package, for the most part, we skipped it. They gave us our "regular" cake, and that was good enough for us.

He was actually really into the flowers that we had to take care of (Venue did the decor and center pieces for us). But flowers are a pretty big deal in his family: several generations ago, when his family was still in Italy, they actually had cultivated their own special roses that were famous all over the country at the time.

Ok, I can't fault him too much, because I've admitted on several occasions I wasn't all that into planning, lol. He really could not care less about the attire (One of the few things our venue didn't give us, lol), especially the "girl" stuff. But he wasn't into tuxes really either ... he kind of took me and my mom to Men's Wearhouse and said "You both know I can't dress myself and my friends dress even worse than me. Help.", lol.

One part of planning that your guy enjoys:  He's been pretty into the whole thing.  I'm outing us as total geeks, but we're both really excited to do seating charts when the time comes.  He's pretty much taken care of the DJ entirely, and I know he's looking forward to the limo stuff.

One part (or more) of planning that your guy abhors:  Flowers.  He doesn't see the point.  He keeps trying to convince me to put our flower budget to other things, haha.  (I mean, he'd be fine with it if I went out and bought a second wedding dress, as long as the money came out of the flower budget.)

DH made up spreadsheets for the finances (account amounts, vendor prices, deposits, payments, etc) and for the gifts (who sent what, what was sent, date it arrived, who wrote thank you and the date).  For the last two weeks, we had a schedule spreadsheet that for the last two days broke down into his and her schedules.  You are not alone in your geekiness - all of our vendors complimented our organization.  My response was "How in the world do you plan a wedding without this level of organization??"

Haha, FI totally does this.  I think he has spreadsheets for his spreadsheets.  But I gotta say, that man is really friggin' talented when it comes to excel!  Glad to know we're not the only geeks out there. :)
