Wedding Party

Something to amuse you ladies...

As I may have mentioned previously, my BFF of 20 years is getting married in a little less than a year. She's already chosen her BP (they are all long-time friends of hers that I know she wouldn't be there without) and she sent a group message to us all on FB to let us know what was going on. I replied, asking if we should friend each other (I know that it's not necessary, but I am already friends with 2 of them, so it's not much of a stretch, and since one BM is in NJ and another is in Ohio while we are in PA, I thought it would simply make any necessary inter-BM communication easier). One of our mutual friends responded and said, "I move to use a term for 'bridesmaids' that isn't 'bm'" and I laughed. I said that I was so used to using BM on the Knot boards that it was second nature :) I then suggested we use "BB" for "bridesb!tches" ;)

Thought that may make some of you giggle :)

  • Lol. I'm getting a bachelor's of music aka a BM. You have no idea how often my family jokes me for that.

  • Considering my FI, I'm surprised I never thought about the connotations of BM before...haha, oh dear.

  • BM and STD always get me.  Although, I'm over thinking "bowel movement" when I see BM now.  But whenever I see STD, the first thing that comes to my mind is not Save The Dates.

  • I agree with Frogurt, I always think of something else first when I see STD. And I'm a nurse so BM will always have another meaning for me lol.

I'm a nurse too...and when I first got on these boards, it took me a minute to get into bride vocab. Lol
