WP Tuesday!

How is everyone?!

I totally appreciate the great vibes of the regs!

How is everyone else?

Re: WP Tuesday!

  • I'm doing well, Banana :) Hope you and Chiquita are doing well!

My little man had tubes in his ears today. Everything went excellent...no issues with anesthesia or the procedure (which I wasn't worried about anyway...both FI and I have had tubes with no problems) so that was good.

Hope everyone else is having a good week so far! :)
  • It's pretty quiet here.  I was craving pie after Mel's thread, so I texted DH and told him I wanted pie.  So he brought home a chocolate silk pie with a chocolate peanut butter ganache.  He's a keeper.  Although I feel like a huge walking cliche.  "Menstruating woman demands chocolate!  FEED ME!"  I'm usually not like this...

Ok.  I knew women who were in close physical proximity will sync up.  Didn't realize it happens here too. :)

DH made me a chocolate bundt cake two nights ago.  I left it at work today because i'm still trying to lose some weight here.  I usually crave potato chips but for some reason this month it was chocolate.

  • That's nuts, Tricia.  I was just thinking when I posted that it would be kind of weird if we were all synced up...

I wish I could lose weight.  I've put on quite a bit in the last few years, and we just don't have the time or discipline to do it right now.  :/

  • DH bought me flowers and a red velvet cake yesterday out of the blue.  Still trying to figure out if he did something bad and is just trying to get out in front of the situation ;)

    Aerin and Tricia...you're kidding right?

    Wow. That's creepy.

My roommate has a chocolate birthday cake that she's not sharing. It's taking every ounce of self control I have to not attack it.

Brooke...if you don't want that red velvet cake *wink nudge*

Edit: This month is white chocolate raspberry truffle ice cream from haagen dazs. I can't get it here at school so I'll take the chocolate. Or the red velvet cake that Brooke is going to mail to me.

That stuff is amazing.  DH and I have kind of an obsession with white chocolate raspberry.  Our unity cocktail was a white chocolate raspberry martini.  Except we couldn't find the white chocolate Godiva liqueur in Vegas, so it was just regular chocolate.  Still nommy.

  • Well we need to have a white chocolate raspberry party then. I almost regert having that ice cream now, because all other ice cream kind of pales in comparison.

I wonder if anyone else is synced with the three of us on here...

It's actually super noisy in my house right now. And no, it's not Trixie. DH is cutting my halloween costume out of plastic and is using a dremel saw.

Not I.  I'm on Mirena and haven't had one in 2 years.  It's bliss.  Don't want to think about what may happen when I have it removed.

Adorbs!  Please tell me he's going to be Wall-E!<div>
</div><div>DH and I think Wall-E pretty much sums up our relationship.  If he were on earth by himself for 700 years, he would spend it cleaning and organizing.  And I...well, blowing up a battleship because I'm frustrated is totally in character for me.  DH sometimes says "Ev-ah" when I'm mad, and it always makes me laugh (and self-aware!).</div>

  • I LOVE WALL-E!

DH and I went to a wedding over the summer and the couple danced to La Vie En Rose  as their first song.  it was really lovely.
  • Oh man, you guys have totally made me crave chocolate.  Thanks a lot!  (Thankfully, I have some chocolate stashed here.  I'm going off to get it!)

Stina, I can't wait to see your costume!!

What is everyone else being for Halloween?

  • I remember being really sad when I watched Wall-E.  It was cute but I don't like when kids' movies are sad.  Or scary.  Especially if animals are involved, and particularly if said animals are dogs.

I made Step-SIL's chocolate chocolate chip pancakes topped with with powdered sugar and chocolate syrup for the first time today.  I went a little overboard on the chocolate in the pancakes but they were still delicious.
  • No Halloween plans this year.  We might go up to the El Capitan, because I still haven't managed to see Nightmare Before Christmas in 3-D even though they've been running it for like five years now.  (And it's in 4-D this year!)  With Halloween being on a work night this year, we probably won't be able to do much because we have to turn in so early.

I was lurking tonight and just wanted to say that I am also craving chocolate because I am on my period as well (did I sync via lurking?). I wish my FI was around to bring me some though! He used to get me a snickers bar every month but lately he's working odd hours and I get no snickers, especially since I refuse to buy it for myself because I have zero self control and would end up with 10 bars(?) and eat them in one sitting haha
  • Well I could do Halloween JMU style and wear lingerie and say I'm a Sexy _____ . Buuuut....I'm probably going to just nix the whole Halloween thing.

BTW, I just ate some chocolate chip mini muffins. Yummm.
