Whew! What a relief! I was so hurt by my friend's aparent lack of interest in my wedding that I had a little meltdown but we have been able to talk things through and I feel so much better now.
We had a great talk yesterday where she explained that she has been really busy and preocupied with her own stuff lately (buying a house, work, etc.) and that is why she hasn't been interested or involved in any wedding stuff. She also feels stressed out about having to attend pre wedding parties such as a shower and bachelorette party since she is so busy. I explained to her that she is in no way required to attend any of these things (although I would love to have her there) and that I would just be happy to have her stand up with me on the day of the wedding. I told her I totally understand she has her own life going on here and didn't expect her to help with wedding stuff, I was just hurt that she didn't seem happy for me.
I think all of our problems stemed from lack of communication about how we were both feeling to begin with and I am so happy we cleared things up.
I guess maybe no one cares how this fight ended up but I am happy to have my friend back and wanted to celebrate! Yay!
