Help for my sister

My little sister whose eleven wants to do something special for me during my reception but she has no clue what she wants to do. I have no ideas for her either. Please help!

Re: Help for my sister

  • Ask her if she wants to say a short speech. That could be pretty cute.

  • My dad made a collage of photos of us from birth to the wedding and displayed it at the RD and reception--an 11 year old could do that and it wouldn't involve her having to be in the spotlight if she didn't want it.

  • I like both ideas...maybe a speech to go with the slide. Thanks ladies!

[QUOTE]Why not have her as a bridesmaid? She'd be thrilled. Or have her do a reading. Please don't give her a job to do, like handing out programs. It's boring and a chore.

I agree. I recently went to a wedding where the brides cousins of about that age read passages. It was lovely, and a great way to include them.

Ditto, why not have her as a bridesmaid?
  • My little sister is already a bridesmaid but she wants something else to do specifically for me during the reception to honor our bond. My younger brother is a groomsmen but will also be doing the vocal solo during our ceremony. I'm guessing that she justs wants her chance to shine too.
