Just acquired a ring bearer, what to wear?

We've just acquired a ring bearer - he is the brother of our flower girl.  Long story but they're both excited.  The RB is 9 years old, flower girl 6  years old.  The groomsmen + dads have already purchased and received their 3 piece suits.  What should we tell the parents of the RB to have him wear? 

We can't just rent him a matching tux - we've done suits.  I doubt they'll want to pay for him to get a matching mini suit - if that even exits!  We have less than 4 months, they live across the country and neither my fiance or I have met the family.  They are his cousins' kids. 

I know it'll be cute with the 2 of them being siblings but its more hassle now!

Check out the jc penney website. They have several boys suits for $50. Pick a color that complements the other men's suits. If they don't want to buy a suit, a vest and tie with dress slacks would be fine It should be fairly easy to find something now, since many stores will be putting out Easter and first communion outfits.

How about something like this? Check other department stores and places like Kohl's or Burlington Coat Factory to see if they have something similar (and low-priced):

Or just ask his parents if he already owns a suit, maybe from Easter or Christmastime, and buy him a tie if you want him in a certain color.

Or maybe ask them to put him in khakis and a blazer and a white shirt, and buy him the tie yourself? They can probably get him those things from Old Navy or Gap or The Children's Place for a good price.

Look in Marshall's and TJ Maxx as well.

But I would first touch base with them and see what they want to spend, before you decide on something. Once you get a price from them, either look for something they can afford, or chip in some cash yourself to cover the difference if you want something pricier (or just pay for it all yourself if it saves you a headache with them).

I like the target idea - and the after Easter sales probably.

You could also check out thrift shops and consignment stores for cheap kids' attire. Try eBay, too.

You could get him a tie from probably any department store or kids' clothing shop. Like you said, post-Easter sales are a great time to look for clothes and accessories for him. Thetiebar.com has kids' ties.
