Wedding Party

flower girl gifts?

My flower girls are 7 and 8 years old. I have no clue what to get them. All the flower girl gifts on wedding websites seem to be for very young flower girls. Any ideas?

Re: flower girl gifts?

  • Shop for each girl like it's her birthday.  I'd ask the parents what their interests are so you can make sure that you hit the right note.
  • Ditto pp. Also, you might want to do what Meg did for her rb. Gave him a gc to Toys R Us. Then they get to pick their own gift! I think Meg's DH took the rb there and did a mini shopping trip so that the kid got to pick the gift out and spend time with his uncle.

  • I got this book for my flower girl (who is almost 8):

It is part scrapbook, part what to expect. It has pockets to put some flower petals, invite, placecard, or etc as well as places for photos, drawings, and short paragraphs about the day. It is really cute for an older flower girl who likes crafty things. If you do get it for them, I would recommend giving it to them a few months before the wedding because it includes some sections about what to expect and preparations and stuff. If they are not-so-crafty, or you want to get them more than just the book, go with the advice of the above posters.
