Inviting parents of the wedding party

All of the weddings that my fiance and I have been to or a part of have only been us invited. Now we are getting hitched and there are families of some of our wedding party that we are close to and would like to invite to our event. However, we're not close to all of the families in our wedding party so are only inviting those parents or relatives that we are close to. There are 6 groomsmen/bridesmaids and 2 of them we don't really know their parents that well whereas the others grew up living at each others houses and/or are on nickname basis (like mama bear). One of the two people that we didn't invite the parents feels insulted that we would do that to someone in their wedding party.

I feel like it's uncalled for. Am I crazy or does she have grounds?

I better be inviting my MOH's parents cause they are mine too.  I'm sure they would be just a little put off if I didn't.  Yes, JK!

This honestly hadn't occured to me until reading this just now!   The best man's whole family (parents, sisters, grandma, and niece) are invited because they're basically FI's family.  The 'groomswoman's rents are invited, again, because he practically grew up at their house.  No one else's rents are on the list.  Though now thinking about it I may want to invite my MOH's parents, because we've been friends since highschool and I did spend quite a bit of time at her house; though they were both doctors so they were never home!  Regardless; I agree with PPs, you are in no way obligated to invite someone just because their kid's in the wedding party (unless they're a minor).
