not sure if this is in the best section, but is there a proper age for flower girls and ring bearers?
i ask because i have a little sister who will be 7 and a little brother who will be 9... they're half siblings and don't live near me, so i miss them terribly all the time and love them to death... and i want them to be a part of the wedding and make it alittle special for them too! i always just assumed she'd be a flower girl and he'd do the ring... i know he's a little old for it... but her too? are they so old it looks ridiculus?
i had a friend recently ask me how old my sister was and when i said she'll be 7 soon she responded with "oh that's too old to be a flower girl then" i was kind of taken aback. i never thought of that.
my cousin has a daughter who will be 5 (she also has one that will be 1.5 but i think that's too young becuase they won't know what to do and barely be walking!) and i have a friend with a son who'll be 5... but i'd so much rather have my own siblings!!
i was even thinking about having my sister and my cousins daughter do it together and maybe have my brother walk down with the ring as their "escort" or seperately, either way.
let me know what you guys think! i'm not a stickler for tradition in the slightest (i was thisclose to wearing a purple dress myself!) but i dunno... still wondering if people are gonna be talking about it/making comments then.
