• In your family, who is the most annoying? There isn't just one. My uncle is a major pervert so we'll go with him.
Is said person coming to thanksgiving? No, thank god. He's spending it with his mom, the woman that is NOT my grandmother. lol
How long does your thanksgiving day celebration go? from 11 AM until 7 PM if my grandma gets her way. We plan to leave early though since we have a 3 hour drive afterward.
Do you plan to watch the Macy's day parade? If so, what do you like most about the parade? I'll watch part of it. Problem is that my favorite part is the broadway show performances which happen in the first hour. I want to sleep in.
Are you bringing any food to thanksgiving or just showing up? Aaron is making the mashed potatoes and I'm making the biscuits.

• In your family, who is the most annoying? No one in my imeddiate family, but there are a few candidates in DH's family.

Is said person coming to thanksgiving? Nope, DH and I are spending Thanksgiving by ourselves at our own house.

How long does your thanksgiving day celebration go? When it was with family it was just spending time together all day. The meal was around 2pm.

Do you plan to watch the Macy's day parade? If so, what do you like most about the parade? I plan to watch anything BUT the parade. I might even play Wii games all day with DH.

Are you bringing any food to thanksgiving or just showing up? I'm making a small meal for just DH and I. Homemade individual chicken pot pies! Yum.

In your family, who is the most annoying?
I think we all annoy each other on an equal scale.

Is said person coming to thanksgiving?
Ever since my mom's stove stopped working, I stopped making holiday dinners and we all sort of went our seperate ways for these meals. I go to my FI's and my brother to my aunts, my sister and other brother don't do anything. Next year will finally be the year I get cook the meal again since I am moving into a bigger place that can accomidate everyone.

How long does your thanksgiving day celebration go?
Basically just dinner at like 4-5ish and whenever we finish eating it's over.

Do you plan to watch the Macy's day parade? If so, what do you like most about the parade?
No, I can't remeber EVER watching it to be honest.

Are you bringing any food to thanksgiving or just showing up?
I usually make jello salad (Better known as ambrosia) But that's only because I'm so used to having it and FI's family never had it.

In your family, who is the most annoying?
That would be my aunt-the one that very loudly made the joke about me being pregnant at the wedding, and also had the very inappropriate poem read at my great-grandmother's funeral ... and has said/done so many other uncouth things over the years we've all lost count. She's just an overall nightmare and pretty much everybody knows it

Is said person coming to thanksgiving?
It's still possible that she's hosting it this year ... my family still hasn't decided where it is yet. If she's not hosting, she'll still definitely be there.

How long does your thanksgiving day celebration go?
If grandma or my mom is hosting, we start with my family at around 2, and then at like 6 we'll go to SIL's for the rest of the night (We usually stay until 10/11)-they all live about 20 minutes away from each other, so it's pretty easy to split. If my aunt is hosting, we usually skip my family (Because of the distance, not because of my aunt) and just spend the day at SIL's.  If my aunt hosts this year I have no idea what we're doing because she's an 1.5 hours away from SIL, but since it's the first TG without my great-grandmother, we really can't skip my family.

Do you plan to watch the Macy's day parade? If so, what do you like most about the parade?
I usually watch it. Honestly since I moved out, I'm usually alone the morning of TG, so there's really nothing else for me to do  ... this is the first year since we started dating that DH isn't working on TG, so I'm just excited to have the morning with him.

Are you bringing any food to thanksgiving or just showing up?
Most likely just showing up. I'm not really good with dinner food, but I make good deserts ... however, we usually don't have desert with my family (Since we cut out "early"), and there's no way for me to store one to take to SILs after the fact ("Grandma? I need room in the fridge for this yummy desert that I'm not letting you guys eat", lol), so I just don't make anything.
Do you plan to watch the Macy's day parade? If so, what do you like most about the parade? Being a former color guard member, I like watching the highschool bands.  Posted by tldh
My senior year of high school (Thanksgiving 2001), our marching band was the one selected to bring in Santa at the end. I wasn't a part of it (I loved concert band, but marching band was so militant in my school I knew I'd hate it), but a ton of my friends did it, and I thought it was the coolest thing ever to see my friends on tv (You know, in the comfort of my warm home, after I had slept until 10 that morning)

• In your family, who is the most annoying? Definitely isn't one person.  Probably my sketch-ass "uncle" whom I can't stand.

Is said person coming to thanksgiving? Hell no.  I don't speak to him.

How long does your thanksgiving day celebration go? Two days, if you count pie-baking with my mom and sister the day before.

Do you plan to watch the Macy's day parade? If so, what do you like most about the parade? Maybe.  We usually don't when we're in CT (sometimes if we're in Florida) but I might.  I like the musical numbers.

Are you bringing any food to thanksgiving or just showing up? I always bake at least one pie, if not two.  And I help my mom cook.
In your family, who is the most annoying?   An aunt who likes to share her thoughts on every. little. thing I do.  Example: When I told her DH and I were getting married in his church, she replied that it was a shame I was compromising my faith for a man I barely knew (????).  I wasn't converting!  Getting married in DH's church was more important to him than getting married in my church was to me, so we compromised--like adults do!  Ugh, still riles me up 2 1/2 years later. Is said person coming to thanksgiving? NO! How long does your thanksgiving day celebration go? Early afternoon to evening; we've been invited to stay the night and may take them up on it. Do you plan to watch the Macy's day parade? If so, what do you like most about the parade?  <strong>Usually on too early in the day since they air it live :(</strong> Are you bringing any food to thanksgiving or just showing up?  We haven't heard yet but I suspect we'll be asked to bring something like dessert or bread.

Brooke, a few weeks ago I looked up online what time the parade started because my brother had asked me.  It says it starts at 9 a.m. in all time zones. So I guess it's only live on the east coast. :)

• In your family, who is the most annoying?
My mom's brother and one of her sisters. They're pretty awful.

Is said person coming to thanksgiving?
Nope. Said people aren't even invited to the wedding. No relationship with them anymore, because of many of those "awful" moments mentioned.

How long does your thanksgiving day celebration go?
Usually it's from about 10-10 but this year I will be working retail, and they decided to open our store at 10pm on Thanksgiving, so I have to be there at 9. Who shops at a suit store on Thanksgiving night? Our sales aren't even good.

Do you plan to watch the Macy's day parade? If so, what do you like most about the parade?
I will catch bits and pieces while I cook with mom.

Are you bringing any food to thanksgiving or just showing up?
Showing up to help cook at mom's... Four different diets-- A diabetic, PKU, celiac, and "normal" people food. Should be interesting!

• In your family, who is the most annoying? No one in my immediate family.  My brother talks a lot, so depending on what family we are around, he will tell a story that I've heard soooo many times, and that is really annoying.

Is said person coming to thanksgiving? Yes, but it will just be a small family gathering and we've already heard all the stories so hopefully no repeating of old, boring stories. :)

How long does your thanksgiving day celebration go? H and I are hosting this year.  My brother usually comes over to watch the parade so he will probably come over around 9/9:30.  We plan to eat around 1 or 2, and then my aunt, uncle, and cousin are going to stop over around 6 for a few hours after they get back into town, so it will be a long day.

Do you plan to watch the Macy's day parade? If so, what do you like most about the parade? Yes!  I watch it every year!  I love the bands/colorguard.  I was in band and colorguard in high school.  I also enjoy the big cheerleading productions because I was a cheerleader in HS too.

Are you bringing any food to thanksgiving or just showing up? We are supplying a good portion of the food since we are hosting.  Turkey, potatoes, stuffing, snacks, etc.  My mom is bringing pie and green bean casserole.
