Wedding Party

WP gift ideas

I am hoping to find a few gifts ideas for my bridal party. I have two girls and two guys standing for me. I purchased Chamilia bracelets for the girls and FI is giving credit cards holders with gift cards for his GM. The two guys standing for me are two of my closest friends and although I know I should shop for them like its their birthday or Christmas I am really stuck on what to buy them. I want what I buy them to be both useful and memorable, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Re: WP gift ideas

  • Only problem is that neither I nor anyone else on this board has the slightest idea of what they like.  The best and only suggestion I can give is to give them a gift card to a store or restaurant they like.  I'm also a fan of those AmEx gift cards that can be used anywhere; I got one the other day and am really excited about it.

A word of warning from your friends at Cracked.com: Remember that text is going to be how you make your first impression over the internet; if every third word you type is misspelled, people will automatically assume that you're a moron.
  • ditto brooke. If you know to shop for them like it's their birthday or Christmas, then do that.  We don't know anything about the interests of people you claim as your two closest friends.

How could we possibly have a better idea of what they'd like than you do?

Dh says get them porn.  I really have no idea what to tell you.  Do they like books, movies, the outdoors, video games?

Repeat this to your self: My Wedding Party is made of my family and friends and I should treat them as such.
  • I second the porn. It may make their sex lives better and therefore be the BEST gift ever!!!!

  • FI got our groomswoman a Rabbit.  No joke.  She'll get a bunch of Peeps and stuffed rabbits to open at the RD, then the actual gift later.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

  • He wanted to give her the actual gift at the RD, but I convinced him that she'd probably just get really embarrassed to open something like that in front of our families.  So this was the compromise.  I can't wait.
