Okay I guess she is getting better advice now. At first folks seemed all right with suggesting she ask her FSIL to back-out.

I've only seen one or two posts telling her to back out fortunately, and most of those weren't from regs.

I'm pretty sure I recognize OP's name though.  And I don't have any bad memories associated with it, so I'm guessing she's usually more level headed.

In no way shape or form did I say she should ask her to drop out. I said to politely give the option of it if she so chose. It is not a terrible thing to stick to your opinion once in a while regarding ones own wedding, just because one person in your wedding party is being difficult.

Agreed, I've never seen anything remotely resembling interest in a board war here.  But there have been many field trips.  I don't get the need to turn a field trip into a board war.
