So...we're getting married next Monday. FMIL calls FI last night and says "We want to pay for your guys to have a mini honeymoon next week. You don't need to spending your wedding night at her parents' house."

I'm so excited. It's just a couple days, but whatever! This is so incredibly sweet of them! =DDDD And then Christmas is a couple days later. It's going to be such a nice week.

Done gushing. You can go back to the regular Knot now.

That's great.  We skipped a honeymoon right after but spent a couple of days in Atlantic City and it was just what we needed.

Yay!  That is awesome!  I'm so glad you have great future in-laws.

Mine forgot my b-day this year.  Even after H noticed that they must have forgotten and reminded his mom, she never said happy b-day or felt the need to let FIL know that my b-day had been a few days before.  I know I shouldn't expect everyone to give me a gift on my b-day, but I give them gifts on their b-days, and I know they don't forget SIL's husband's b-day. : /

lalap - He mentioned to his mom that she missed my b-day, but he hasn't said anything more since then.  I mean, he already let her know that she missed it, so she's aware, I'm not sure what more he could say.  I suppose he could tell her that I'm sad that she forgot it, but it's not like he can force her to tell me happy b-day and sorry she missed it.
