When are you giving wedding party gifts?

So i have five friends, my sister and my cousin in the wedding party. 

I was planning on giving gifts at the rehearsal dinner but there will be other girls there that I am really good friends with who are not in the wedding party. 

One of my best friends from high school is dating one of our groomsmen and my two other cousins are doing readings. I was thinking of getting the other girls a bottle of wine so they have something to open...  or should I just give gifts at another time?

I didn't think about this until now when did you give the bridal party gifts?

We gave them at the rehearsal dinner ... we gave something to the bridesmaids, groomsmen, our priest, our readers, our parents, and the relatives who were bringing up Communion in the ceremony. A few people in attendance (spouses/dates, mostly) didn't receive anything and didn't seem to have a problem with it.

This isn't kindergarten. Not everyone needs a participation trophy. Mature people will understand that the gifts are for the people actually participating in the wedding. If they're somehow offended at not getting a gift for just being there, well, that's not your problem. Even at a certain age, having "something to open" at someone else's party just spoils children.

Yes, get some wine or a gift card for the girls doing readings. Nothing necessary for the people who aren't doing anything in the wedding. Inviting them to the rehearsal dinner is a fine courtesy on its own.

I am giving them at the rehersal dinner as well. I agree mature people will understand that the wedding party is being given gifts and they shouldn't feel left out.
