Just started planning our spring 2012 wedding, and I'm thinking ahead to structuring a bridal party...mostly because my friends have been bothering me to. I'm the first of my friends to get married - so, understandably, my friends are pretty excited and have been helping me in the initial brainstorming stages. I like the help, and honestly I need it! But since I'm recently out of undergrad, and I was in a sorority, I keep pretty close contact with more friends than the bridal party for my 100-person wedding can accomodate.
Honestly, I would prefer to have two bridesmaids: my sister, and his sister, and call it a day. But my sister is 11, and his sister and I have totally opposite taste, so I'll really be counting on my friends to help me plan, throw my parties, etc etc. If I invite all the helping friends to be BMs, I will have 8. Too many!! But I think they deserve some recognition for their support, and I want to do something to make them feel like a valued and special part of the wedding. I hear a lot of people suggest readings, but I don't want to have 8 readings either. Anyone have a creative alternative idea for how we can include them? Thanks (:
