Wedding Party

Uneven?

So I have three older sisters and four very close friends. I have already asked my friends to be in the wedding. However my fh doesn't have very many close friends he wants in the wedding and only 2 brothers. We already have his side at four but would it look to odd if my side had 7 girls. My thinking just the moh and bm walk together then it would be two girls for one guy. Any ideas on how that would look or what I should do.

Re: Uneven?

  • It might look a little lop sided, but that's not the end of the world!  As long as you have your nearest and dearest standing with you and he has his nearest and dearest with him, it should all work out.  If he is intersted in increasing the number of men on his side, he could ask your brother(s) if you have any.  It is very common to have your FI's siblings in your bridal party.  Don't force him to though.

A good photographer will arrange the bridal party so it looks nice in the photos.

  • Nobody will care how it looks. And even if they did, would you really cut your friends/family or treat them as slotfillers just to make things "look better"?

  • I think your idea of having the MOH and BM walk together and the rest of the party walking one GM with two BMs sounds great.
  • Yeah i have no brothers and he has no sisters..well we have in laws but then again it would still end up uneven if we added them in. And im thinking the same thing as long i have my four closest girls and my 3 sisters it shouldnt really matter if he has his two closest boys and 2 brothers.
  • My brother was a slot-filler (and didn't realize until after) and I just thought it was SO rude! He's super laid back so it didn't bother him, but imagine how that would feel to find out if it was you. Uneven sides are not important.
