  • Ouch, that is quite a font color!

  • Yes.  Put your text in a legible color and then we'll try to help.

RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me.
You made my wedding day complete.
  • Okay, much better. Approach it just like you were shopping for her birthday or Christmas - dont think of it as a "wedding gift". Make it unique to her based on her hobbies/interests, etc.

  • Are you looking to give her a wedding gift for her and her husband to be, a gift for her to use on the wedding day, or just a random gift?  If you can give us that info, that will help us help you.

  • My MOH, got me a really cool makeup bag with my new monogram that she filled with stuff for a day of emergency kit that she had on hand for me that day in case I needed anything. She also got me a really sweet card and the Nest book for newlyweds that she was given when she got married.

Every morning when I use it, I think of her.
  • My best friend/bridesmaid got me a beautiful crystal vase.  In the card she wrote "So your husband always has a reason to get you flowers..."  I loved it!

One of my BMs gave me a small jewelry box with a copy of Klimt's "The Kiss" on the front.  I love it and use it every day.

I went to Japan about a month before I was BM in a friend's wedding and gave her a tea set I bought in Kyoto.  She said she and her DH used it on weekends when they were lazy around the house.

What sorts of things does the bride like?  What would you buy her on any other gift-giving occasion?

"I think bablingbrooke is the 13 yr old marring her cousin at the town hall. Lets all give her a big hand. And hope her inbred children can live normal lives." -tabs.

A word of warning from your friends at Cracked.com: Remember that text is going to be how you make your first impression over the internet; if every third word you type is misspelled, people will automatically assume that you're a moron.
  • Does she have anything cool on her registry?  Our family shopped mostly off the registry, but they bought the fun stuff (the Monty Python box set, the home brewing kit, the deep fryer, the shotglass ice molds, etc.)  I don't think we really got any off-registry gifts, but we registered for stuff that we really wanted.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
