Man of Honor - Responsibilities

After reading several posts (to be sure I didn't repost), I am happy to see so many brides having men of honor :-)

That being said, did they hold responsibilities similar to the (traditional) maid of honor? Who held the flowers during the ceremony? 

any other thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated!

The only real responsibilities of a MOH (maid OR man) is to buy the attire, show up, and have a smile on their face. He CAN hold the flowers, but you could have someone else do it. OR have a vase up there to put your bouquet in. You can teach your mom or anybody to help bustle your dress.
