One of my really good friends, who is also a bridesmaid was dating one of FI's really good friends, and also a groomsmen. They broke up a month ago and decided to be adults and be nice to each other so that things won't be awkward when they see each other at the wedding.
Over the weekend he flipped out on her (crazy status), and told my FI he can't be in the wedding, or be friends with us because we are friends with her. My FI is super bummed because nobody saw this coming, but at the same time I'm kind of glad that he flipped out now, and not on the day of the wedding.
Meantime, everyone is making suggestions for how to replace him. They don't seem to understand that friends are not replaceable, and it's not nice to make someone second best. My mom even complained that the pictures would look weird. How do I tell everyone to stfu nicely without having to explain this everytime!?
