Sexy transportation for the Bridal Party that is Wheelchair accessible

Hello ladies,

My sister and MOH is in a wheelchair.  I'm looking for a hummer or SUV limo or maybe even a party bus that will be able to accomodate her.  If something had a lift to pick up her whole chair of even a chair lift she could slide on to and then slide on the seat that would be great.

Any assistance is appreciated.
 Thanks!

You should post this on your local board. Those girls will have better suggestions as they're in your area. I don't know of any limos/hummers/party busses that are wheelchair accessable. I'm pretty sure any handicap transportation of that nature has regulations and guidelines they need to follow.

  • If you want a lift or ramp, you'd probably need some sort of van or small bus - call around to companies in your area to see what they have in terms of wheelchair accessable vehicles.

The cabin height in a hummer or SUV limo is probably not going to be tall enough for someone seated in a wheelchair.  We had a hummer limo for prom once for a ton of people and it was surprisingly not roomy.
  • Ask your local Knot board if they can suggest a company.

If they're of no help, contact a local organization that represents the handicapped (maybe your sister is affiliated with a group?) and ask if they have any leads.

Or just use Google to search for limo companies in your area and start calling them to ask if they can accommodate her. Or if they know of another company that has an appropriate car.

  • You may be able to rent a party bus that is wheelchair accessible.  They're not "sexy", but they may come in black and have lighting and features on the inside that are more festive than a regular wheelchair accessible van.
  • Party buses can be pretty damn sexy.

  • Some of the rental companies in my area have trolley buses with a wheelchair lift. I don't know that the trolleys are "sexy" but at least they have some personality.

  • FI is in a wheelchair and when we were originally looking into transportation, we found a company in our area that had accessible trolleys.  But trolleys were so much more expensive, so we opted for a limo bus.  Luckily, FI is somewhat mobile and can stand an walk with assistance, which is the reason we went with a limo bus.  He'll be able to walk in and down the aisle just holding on to the seats.
