Flower Girls & Ring Bearers

Has anyone had more than one ring bearer and one flower girl involved in their wedding?  My fiance and I both have a few adorable young (ages 4-8) children in our family - two boys and three girls - and we think it might create some jealousy if we include a couple, and exclude the others.  We also think the younger ones might be more comfortable participating if they can be with a slightly older sibling...

Any suggestions on how we might be able to get all the little cuties involved?

Thanks!  Laughing

  • Just have three flower girls and 2 ring bearers if that's what you want.  I don't see anything wrong with that.

  • Keep in mind that if you have too many small children in your wedding it can be like herding cats.  If they're well behaved it should be fine but if they're all wild children that's another story.

However I'm planning to have all my FH's younger cousins in my wedding.  He only has one younger male cousin so that's easy for RB; however he has 3 little girl cousins who I am equally close with and I know there would be hurt feelings if I only chose one.  I was planning to have 2 FGs walk up together and the 3rd FG walk up with the RB.  I've been at other weddings where there were 2-3 sets of FG/RB and it didn't seem weird at all.

  • There's nothing wrong with it, my brother and SIL had 4 flower girls.

  • I've seen this done. The younger kids were more at ease. I think it is cute to have more than one. If this is what you want go for it!!!

  • Whatever your comfortable with!  It kind of depends on the kids a lot too, though.  Some kids are wild and crazy and especially depending on ages, might have a hard time making it down the aisle.

We came up with a few extra jobs for some other kids in our wedding, so we have two girls who will hand our the bubbles for the getaway, two girls doing programs, one being a gift attendant.  Depending on age, there are a lot of options here.
