Meltdown, Aisle 3...

Ceremony Ideas seriously needs a mod.  I haven't seen Jamielynn post in months, and drama like this does occasionally pop up.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

That's awesome!  I would love to have it in T-shirt form.

  • Wow that chick needed to take a chill pill ASAP!

  • Brooke, every time DH and I talk about having kids, we always think of the opening scene of Idiocracy ... and then we decide that maybe me ending up a middle-aged, childless widow might not be such a bad thing, lol.

As far as crazy chick goes, sadly, I'm going to guess that she's real. I don't really have anything to base this on, other than my troll senses aren't tingling.

[QUOTE]Surely it's MUD??  Troll?  AE???  I couldn't even read the whole thing.  But, yeah, she went from 0-60 in 3 seconds.  BSC.

    What's MUD mean?
    Anniversary
  • Ya, at first I thought OP was ok, then she went all crazy.

Like I posted over there, though, I have to share my b-day with Thanksgiving now and then and it has never bothered me.  I actually really love when my b-day is on Thanksgiving because then it's one big day of celebrations.  If my parents had the same wedding anniversary as my b-day, I personally wouldn't care, but that's just me.

Well, actually, I guess if it was something that had always been that way, then it wouldn't be a big deal, but I could see how being 10, and having your parents get married on your b-day...ya, that would probably bug me.

  • Then there's the other crazy post, the one where the bride wants to surprise her FI with a "vow renewal" 12 hours after the wedding so they can get pictures w/ him wearing his ring (I think).

  • When I was 10, I would have been p!ssed if my parents deliberately chose to get married on my birthday. I still remember my entire family missed my 18th birthday and I admit, I was really bitter about that at the time.

Honestly, it would have been one thing if they got married first and the kid happened to be born on their anniversary (That's actually what happened with one of my cousins). But the fact that they know when their son's birthday is and they're choosing to make that their wedding day, just really screams "selfish AW" to me.

Meg, there are a lot of things about that thread that scream "selfish AW."  I really hope she's a troll, although she hasn't come back to rile everyone up after her little meltdown, so I fear she's real, in all her selfish, uneducated glory.

Oh, you're completely right, the whole damn thing screamed "Selfish AW" ... I mean, she wants to be the Queen of Hearts on her wedding day, really? Who even talks like that? Oh wait, crazy people do.

Again, I'm still not ready to call troll (Although, I'm really hoping it is one) I can't quite put my finger on it, but something about it just makes me think "Oh, jeez, this chick is real, and Hooch is craaaaaaaazy".

  • I just realized, "surprise ceremony" chick posted within the last few weeks about going to the JOP like the same week that she posted and then having a PPD a year later ... and at the time she seemed to understand it when everybody said "No, you only get one wedding" and said "I see your point, we'll just wait".  And now she's back with this?

Wtf is with this chick trying to get 2 ceremonies?

  • Brooke, what thread is that?  I'm too lazy to go find it. :)

  • It's clicky: What if she continues to complain...and complain...and complain...

Methinks that this is a rash of trolls but I've been wrong before.
