help?

I want to send out a letter/email to the bridesmaids and groomsmen just a reminder of times of rehearsal time and dinner, hair appointment’s and things like that.. has anyone else done this and if so how did you word it?

Re: help?

  • i just sent an e-mail saying

"i cant wait to see you all the girls on Thursday at 10 for our day of beauty at -insert spa-. Be ready for Pizza and practice friday at 6 pm (rehersal dinner). Saturday 10 am the girls will meet for brunch and beauty time at -Insert Hotel- Guys meet Micahel at -insert hotel- for haircuts, dressing and a toast to the groom at 12. Please let us no if there is any problems with these plans. -love the Bride"

I tried to keep it light and friendly.
  • I put a password protected page on our wedding website with this info, but I'm notorious for deleting emails, forgetting invitations, etc. What PP said though for how to phrase it.
  • I had sent out invitations to the rehearsal and RD and text about the timing.  I also printed out a timeline that I handed out at the RD and highlighted what time people were suppose to be at church (parents, BMs, and GMs all had different times).

  • I'd probably just send a casual email along the lines of:

"Hey friends, just wanted to send a quick reminder email about the schedule for our wedding.  Let me know if any of this is a problem!

    Friday
    6pm rehearsal at XX church
7pm rehearsal dinner at XX restaurant

    Saturday
10am girls hair at XX salon
12pm boys meet at so-and-so's house
1pm everyone at the church for photos"

I find that listed schedules are much easier to understand and reference back to later than a massive paragraph that gives loads of info.
  • Ditto, Kate. I think a list is much easier to read and people understand it more.
