  • Do you ever make "whoopie" when guests stay at your house? We never have. I am WAY too afraid that the guests would hear.
When guests visit, where do you take them for sightseeing? Everywhere since we live in NYC. This question is more for everyone else.
Next topic: pie....what's your favorite? Why?Strawberry....mmm, I have this awesome BHG recipe.
Have you ever had a boston creme pie? Nope, but if someone tells me that I MUST try it, I guess I'll have to.

  • Do you ever make "whoopie" when guests stay at your house?
No, but I wouldn't mind doing it.  My FI never would though.

When guests visit, where do you take them for sightseeing?
We have never had any guests that weren't from the area.  His sister (who now lives in Oklahoma City) is the only one who stays with us and she is originally from this area.

Next topic: pie....what's your favorite? Why?
I like chocolate cream or coconut cream.  They are just really good!

Have you ever had a boston creme pie?
    Yes and I love it!

  • Do you ever make "whoopie" when guests stay at your house?  Sure - we've had sex with guests in our house.

When guests visit, where do you take them for sightseeing? Everywhere!  I get them to walk all over Philadelphia.  I get some grumbles about it, but it's worth it in the end!!

Next topic: pie....what's your favorite? Why?  I really dislike pie.  But, if I have to have some, I usually go for pumpkin.

Have you ever had a boston creme pie? Nope.  And I lived in Boston for two years - oops.

Do you ever make "whoopie" when guests stay at your house?  No.  I don't even like doing this when family members are in nearby hotel rooms

When guests visit, where do you take them for sightseeing? When we were in Cleveland, The Rock Hall, The Botanical Gardens, Lola's for dinner and I always tried to get tickets to the shows - when we had a girls weekend for my Mom I was lucky that Jersey Boys was in town.

Now that I'm near Philadelphia, Independence Hall, The Constitution Center, The Betsey Ross House, Ben Franklikn's Original post office and Franklin Square, the Art Museum

Joy - any other suggestions.  I need to have places to send people before the wedding.

Next topic: pie....what's your favorite? Why?  Not a fan of pies.

  • oooh!  If they like baseball, take 'em to Citizen's Bank Park.  It's awesome!  There's a bar there called McFaddens that is open 365 days a year.

I also recommend Franklin Institute (HIGHLY! for any age person), Natural History Museum, Please Touch Museum, and The Zoo!

We also really like restaurants and I can rattle off a whole bunch of places to eat in the city that are wonderful.  If you want more touristy and history-interesting, I really think you should go to City Tavern.  It's a historical landmark because Jefferson, Washington, Franklin, Hamilton, Adams, etc... all went there.  It was the first stock exchange of the US, too.  Now it's restored to Revolutionary times and serves period food.  We had muffins that were Thomas Jefferson's recipe last time we were there!
  • Do you ever make "whoopie" when guests stay at your house?
Oh God, no.  The apartment is REALLY small, and the bathroom is actually IN our bedroom.  So God forbid someone really had to go.  I don't even want to think about it.

When guests visit, where do you take them for sightseeing?
I live in central CT.  There IS no place to go sightseeing.

Next topic: pie....what's your favorite? Why?
Strawberry!  My grandmother in FL used to make strawberry pie every summer, everything from scratch.  Too delicious for words.

Have you ever had a boston creme pie?
Yes, and it cracks me up that they call it "pie" when it's really a fancy layered cake.

  • Do you ever make "whoopie" when guests stay at your house?  Not usually because our cats sleep with us every night so we have to leave our bedroom door open, and I'm always worried one of our guests will get up in the middle of the night and walk past our room.

When guests visit, where do you take them for sightseeing? We have a park in the area that has animals native to Illinois in their natural habitat.  So it's kind of like a zoo, but not really since all of the animals are native to the area and have really big areas to themselves.

Next topic: pie....what's your favorite? Why?  I'm not a huge fan of pie.  I like anything that doesn't have a lot of crust on it, though.  Pumpkin, pecan, lemon meringue, key lime, etc.

Thanks.  I've heard of the tippler tour (a patriotic bar hop) also.  Thanks for reminding me about the restaurants though.  It's going to be restaurant week when they are here so FI and and I planning on sending a list a recommendations and suggest that people get reservations now.

  • Make "whoopie" with guests over? No

Where do you take them to sight see? Usually our guests have been to the area before so we just visit downtown to shop and eat.

Favorite pie? I strongly dislike pie but I dislike strawberry pie and Key Lime Pie the least.

Eaten Boston Creme Pie?No... but now I kinda want too

  • Do you ever make "whoopie" when guests stay at your house? We barely do it when our kids are in the house...the baby sleeps in our room and our bathroom is in our room so if my daughter got up to use the bathroom she literally has to walk PAST our bed...definitely not with guests either...because of the bathroom being attached to the bedroom...seriously considering hanging a curtain...
When guests visit, where do you take them for sightseeing? Depends on what they like...but I haven't really had guests from OOT that weren't from here in the first place. There are plenty of museums in the area, though...
Next topic: pie....what's your favorite? Why? Key Lime...we made a fantastic one at school that my brother actually paid me to make for him again...
Have you ever had a boston creme pie? It's my favorite kind of cake! My mom got me one for my birthday cake one year because she knew I liked it more than regular cake :)
  • Do you ever make "whoopie" when guests stay at your house? We have.

When guests visit, where do you take them for sightseeing? The main Santiago sights we usually hit on someone's first visit are downtown (central plaza, presidential palace, open air market and fish market), two hills in town (nice views and scenery) and a cool craft market. We also tend to go to Valparaíso, a city on the coast that's pretty, and take people wine tasting.

Next topic: pie....what's your favorite? Why? Lemon meringue - my mom always made a really good one, and I loved it even though I'm not a huge pie fan.

Have you ever had a boston creme pie? Nope
  • Do you ever make "whoopie" when guests stay at your house?I wouldn't be opposed to it, but I think it would have to be modest whoopie. Like, no hanging from the chandeliers tonight, honey.

When guests visit, where do you take them for sightseeing? Well, we kind of live in the middle of nowhere. We usually head to Hannibal or Quincy if someone wants to do something besides look at our pretty faces all day.

Next topic: pie....what's your favorite? Why? Pecan. I could eat a whole pecan pie. I really could. It is just so deliciously sweet and salty all at the same time.

Have you ever had a boston creme pie? No, but I'm sure I'd love it. There isn't much about pies that I don't love.

We don't usually stay at other people's houses except our parents.  And yes, at our parents.

When guests visit, where do you take them for sightseeing?
I'm in LA so we are all over the place.  It usually takes a few days to get in all the sights.

Peanut butter pie!  Yumm.  It's just all sorts of goodness.

  • Do you ever make "whoopie" when guests stay at your house?  Our apartment is too small to have people over, but I don't think we would.  I'm noisy.

When guests visit, where do you take them for sightseeing?  They always want to go to Disneyland.  Always.

Next topic: pie....what's your favorite? Why?  Anything chocolate.  I do love chocolate.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • Do you ever make "whoopie" when guests stay at your house?

No, but my FI has wanted to :-P
When guests visit, where do you take them for sightseeing?

If they've NEVER been to MN before, we usually take them to Mall of America.

Next topic: pie....what's your favorite? Why? Probably French Silk or Coconut Cream, you can't go wrong with a cream pie!

Have you ever had a boston creme pie?

Haven't had an actual one, but I LOVE the Ben & Jerry's Boston Cream Pie ice cream!

  • Do you ever make "whoopie" when guests stay at your house?
Well, we don't have the space for anybody to stay with us overnight ... but even if we did, I'm going to say "oh hell no!", lol.
When guests visit, where do you take them for sightseeing?
Pretty much everybody that comes over is local. If I actually had people that didn't know the area visiting, I'd take them to the little beach by my house ... and if it was nice weather (But not summer time), I probably would make the 20 minute trek to Seaside (Where "Jersey Shore" is filmed) because the boardwalk has killer food.

Next topic: pie....what's your favorite? Why? I'm not sure if it's got a "real" name, but my mom calls it "Cheesecake Pie", it's made with cream cheese, Cool Whip and vanilla ... it tastes like really light cheescake when it's done.

Have you ever had a boston creme pie?  I have never.
