Wedding Party

Flower Girl and Ring Bearer

Hello fellow knotties. Have a question and I will keep it short and simple. I orginally had my sister as a bridesmaid and her two kids, my niece flower girl and my nephew ring bearer. We just recently got into a terrible fight that doesn't look to be resolved anytime soon. She has pulled herself out of the wedding and pretty much said her children won't be involved. To avoid more fighting and to move on, I've decided to remove the flower girl and ring bearer spot from the party all together. She is the type that if I put other children in their spot even though she pulled them out, will fight with me about putting new children into their spots. My question to you all is can I have a wedding party without the a flower girl and ring bearer?

Yepp! Of course you can. FI & I were planning on not having one until my parents insisted that my dad's God daughter be a flower girl & since they are contributing we agreed.

I definitely thinking you're making the right call in not replacing them. Not having an RB/FG is perfectly fine.

  • <--- didn't have a flower girl or ring bearer.  As far as I know, we are legally married.
  • Of course you can. At least in the weddings I've been to in the past 5 or so years it is by FAR more common to not have child attendants. Like, I've been to 1 wedding that had a ring bearer and flower girl, and 4 or 5 that did not.
  • Of course you can have a wedding without a ring bearer or flower girl...as long as it's what you and your fiance want and not just to please your sister.
