All brothers or all sisters?

My fiance and I both have 2 brothers, and we both want each of our brothers to be in the wedding party.  We also don't want a lot of bridesmaids/groomsmen.  Any suggestions on how to compromise?

If he wants his brothers, he should put them on his side.  The same goes for you.

Ditto PPs.  And don't worry about the pics.  I was the Best Woman in my best friens'd wedding and he describes the pics as being him surrounded by three beautiful women.  You will be surrounded by five gorgeous guys.

I have 4 brothers and my fiancé has 2 plus the friends he wants as groomsmen. I ended up asking some of my brothers to be ushers... same general idea, they will still be in all the pictures just won't have to stand up at the wedding. They seem to all be fine with it so that's working out for us:-)

Eh, it all depends on the couple.  I'm friendly with FI's sisters, so they are going to be bridesmaids, and FI is friendly with my brother, who is going to be a groomsman.

A lot of people still aren't on board with the idea that you can have mixed genders on either side of the wedding party.

That said, it sounds like the OP feels that having all four guys one one side would lead to too large of a WP, so by all means - his brothers on his side, and hers on hers.
