Ok, so my aunt took me to the other county park today, on the other side of the city from me, to see if any of their buildings were available for rental on our date.
The bad news...the places that I'd hoped to get were not only unavailable for my intended date, but for the following Saturday (which is a year from today now).
The good news...there was one space available for 8-13-11 which is big enough for what we need, has a playground outside, an equipped kitchen, and even a bar area! It was also within my financial limit...so...
WE HAVE A VENUE!!!
We had to push our date back to August 13th of next year instead of the 6th...but I've been waiting for 17 years to be with my FI, what's another week, right?
Not only that...my aunt paid for half as her and my uncle's wedding gift to us!
Turns out that this Friday the 13th has been a good day for me, even though it wasn't awesome for my aunt...it took us an hour and a half to get to the park when it shouldn't have taken more than half an hour, we made wrong turns all over the place...but in the end it wound up being perfect! I'm so excited!
