Re: WPBP of the day

  • Something you did this week that was bad: I got really mad at my fiance.  I cried in the restaurant because I was so upset.  It was his birthday, too. :-(  I think I suck a little bit.

Something you learned this week: That I can learn and figure out just about anything if I put my mind to it.

Do you have any short term goals? Is the end in sight? I want to run a 5K with good times.  I put new stuff on my iPod yesterday and planned to run 2 miles.  I ended up going 3.1 (a full 5K) and got, what I consider to be, a reasonable time.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Hopefully working for a pharma/biotech company and pregnant.
  • Something you did this week that was bad: I had a whiney baby moment about our wedding cake and how, "I just want something that tastes gooood, I don't care what it cooosts!" I quickly snapped out of it when we found even more delicious cake for half the price of the ones I was whining about. I am not proud of that moment.

Something you learned this week: That when you dress like a bee and sing songs with kids for a week, whenever they see you from then on they will know you only as "IT'S THE BEE LADY!"

Do you have any short term goals? Is the end in sight? My short term goal is to get my butt into grad school. I'm hoping to start the process next year.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Working hard and settling down. I would hope that we would be able to purchase a house in that time and be preparing for children.

Oh and Joy? If you suck, so do I. When my fiance and I started dating, I was making him a birthday cake and nothing was going right while I was baking. He made some joking comment and asked if I needed help and I flipped, and it all degenerated into me weeping and saying, "I'm sooo sorry I ruined your birthday," over and over again. It happens. Thankfully, it was a stupid overreaction and nothing more.

Awww... It happens!!  You just wanted things to be great because it was his birthday.  I totally understand.

I was actually upset that he did something the night before that I specifically had asked him not to do, then he got up very early the next day and we didn't have a chance to talk about it until I saw him at dinner.  But, I had to get it out!

You are Bee Lady forever.  FOREVER.
  • I don't know. I think I'm probably giving some kids a complex. The first year I helped with Vacation Bible School singing, I was "Scuba Sue" and I had to dress up in flippers and snorkel gear. I spent a whole year being called Scuba Sue. Now, I'm the Bee Lady. They probably just think I'm some weird, scuba diving bee creature that works in the office during her spare time.

  • Something you did this week that was bad: I had a bit of a freak out moment when we were driving to Atlanta for FI's test.  Actually, we were in Atlanta - the traffic was horrible, and Cindy (the car) said she only had 22 miles of gas left.

Something you learned this week: There's something scary out there in the grass that bit/stung me when I took Noopy out.  It REALLY hurt!

Do you have any short term goals? Is the end in sight?  Finish writing this semester's test before hte 23rd.  I finished the math ones, but I have 3-4 more chemistry ones to write.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? We''ll probably be living in Richmond by then, with a house and fenced in yard.  We'll probably have another dog or two.  I'll probably be teaching chemistry at a local private school.
  • Something you did this week that was bad: Nothing too awful, although I did blow up at H over something stupid (but he had been warned I was really stressed and knew he was doing something that bugs me).

Something you learned this week: I learned what quark is - apparently a kind of cheese curd.

Do you have any short term goals? Is the end in sight? I've made it a goal to really get our apartment in order (put away/throw out some random crap that's cluttering the guest room, decorate more with some pictures, repair the earthquake damage, etc), and I'm making progress on that. I'd say there's still work to do, but my goal is to have it perfect by the end of the year, and I think that's realistic.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Moving back to the US. Starting to seriously talk babies. Work-wise, I'm not sure since I don't know if I'd stay with the same company when we move, but if we're still in Chile I'd imagine I might well be at the same place.
  • Something you did this week that was bad: Slept in until 1 yesterday and ate the majority of the rice cakes....yes, this is all BAD!
Something you learned this week: That it's psychiatrists that perscribe medicine, not psychologists. I always get them confused.
Do you have any short term goals? Is the end in sight? I want to get an acting job. Man, I have no idea when that will happen.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Still married, with kids.

  • Something you did this week that was bad: I told my aunt who my BP are...which started a bit of an argument...
Something you learned this week: Don't eat just a can of spaghettios before going to see a 3-hour opera...I was STARVING by second intermission...
Do you have any short term goals? Is the end in sight? I'd like to get my daughter's room cleaned up before she starts school, which is in less than 2 weeks...
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Hopefully married, maybe have another child, living in a bigger and nicer place in a better neighborhood, and a good job... :)
  • Something you did this week that was bad: Spent more money that we don't have...oops.  I try to justify it by telling myself we will both finally be getting full-time job paychecks at the end of this month, but that doesn't make me feel better yet.

Something you learned this week: I am able to actually tell my best friend what I think of her dating choices without her blowing up at me :-)

Do you have any short term goals? Is the end in sight? I would like to run a half marathon in May...but this was also my goal for last year at this time.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? In a house, happily married with a kid, maybe another on the way. Hopefully loving my job.

I'm a music teacher, and in my music history class in college, our professor was talking about how the opera used to be the big night out, and really exciting and all that.  He said today people go, and by the time the second intermission hits, look at their watch and say, "what are we still doing here?  This shiit started 2 hours ago!"  so your comment made me laugh :-)
