Groom to be has 5 groomsman I only want 4 bridesmaids??

My fiance had 4 people picked out to stand up with him. Then one night decided to add a fifth.  I really only have 4 girls that I would ever ask.  Asking anyone else would really be reaching.  I'm afraid it's going to look weird and make me look bad if I don't have the same amount of girls standing up with me as he does guys.  What should I do?  Do I just ask one of the girls Im not as close to as I used to be?  I really only wanted my closest friends up with me though.

It will look just fine.  I've never noticed whether there were even sides at a wedding.

We had 4 BM and 3 GM.  Worked out fine--DH and I had exactly who we wanted up with us.

What, in your mind, is the worst thing that will happen if you do this?  Will you notice in a couple of pictures?  Probably.  Will you kick yourself for not adding an extra warm body to even out the sides?  Absolutely not.

Will you be less married if you don't have the same number of attendants as you will if you do?  There's your answer.

Uneven wedding parties are OKAY.  There's a reason it's right there at the top of the board.
