Bridesmaid dresses!! i need help please!!

I am trying to find bridesmaid dresses for three ladies. I have been looking and cannot find what i am looking for. I am looking for same color and fabric but different styles. I want them to be similar but want them to be able to choose what they want. Does anyone know a site that is reasonable and easy to do this from!!! HELP PLEASE!!!

  • Pretty much any designer will let you do this.  What are their price ranges?  David's Bridal and Alfred Angelo are popular choices.  Are you just having trouble finding a particular color?

This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • I'm with Aerin - pretty much any designer will let you do this.  I'm looking at Alfred Angelo for this reason.  However, before you settle on a designer make sure that it's 1) in your bms price range and 2) your bms try on some of the dresses first.  You might think a designer has lots of dresses to choose from, but none of them may be flattering in the fabric and colour you're looking at.  That was my experience with Alfred Sung/Dessy/After Six.

  • DItto PPs about David's Bridal and Alfred Angelo.  My girls dresses came from  David's.  I wanted short dresses, and they had a line of "sister" dresses that were the same material and length but different tops.  I let them pick whatever they wanted.  They also have the same thing with long dresses as well.

  • I did this for my own bridesmaids with AnnTaylor.com. I had two BMs and they had three styles to pick from (in the same color, length and fabric). We bought the dresses during a 40% off sale and they came out to $129 apiece with free shipping. The girls took them to local tailors for some minimal alterations.

  • Wait until next year to choose bridesmaids dresses.  Your taste may change significantly between now and then.  Then you can just check with your bm's about budget, and pick a designer/colour.  They can choose their own styles.
  • I know David's Bridal you can search BM dressed by color, and it'll show you all dressed available in, say, Apple.
  • Use the designer of your wedding dress or the colors you picked out? I did both and all 5 of my bridesmaids liked the same dress.

  • Any designer will work - Alfred Angelo, David's Bridal, Mori Lee, Wtoo, etc.

If the issue is that you want the dresses to be similar in style as well as having the same designer, color and fabric, choose several dresses from a designer that meet those criteria and ask your BMs to each choose a dress from those options.

THIS. My BMs are getting to choose from about 4 different dresses from DB. They may all choose the same dress, but I'm giving them the option to get what one they like best.

  • Ditto PP about waiting until the spring.

All the summer looks will come out in Feb/March, and you'll probably find a lot more options.
  • B2 and Belsoie are both really flexible. You can do fabric changes, so pretty much any dress they like can come in the fabric and color you're looking for. And they're good quality and not that that expensive.
  • because of different body types, i want to do the same thing. so i have looked into gettting seperate peices from david's bridal. the peices can be mixed and matched
