Bridesmaid Gifts

What are you getting your bridesmaids as gifts?

FI is getting the guys personalized bar / pub signs that each fit their personalities (super cute & $100 each).

I was thinking about getting the girls a bunch of small items (matching jewelry for the ceremony, flip flops, etc) but I feel like it won't be as cool as the gifts for the groomsmen.

Ideas?

Shop for each of them like it was their birthday. They don't need to have matchy-matchy gifts (they would probably appreciate it more anyway if you thought of them each as individuals and chose gifts accordingly). And for the record, if you buy them matching jewelry for the ceremony, that is not a gift to them if they have to wear it (just as requiring matching shoes is not required and if you DO require it, you must pay for it--and it would NOT be a gift).

Things that you are expecting them to wear for the wedding are not gifts.  They are part of the uniform.

Shop for each of them individually.

Pretend your wedding has nothing to do with this and that you're shopping for each girl as if it were her birthday - i.e. think about her style, tastes, etc. Remember that this is meant to be a "thank you" gift and shouldn't include things you expect her to wear on your wedding day - that's more for you than it is for her.
