Re: I'm Curious...

  • Haha, thanks, Suz!  I am flattered. Cool

How I got into bellydancing...I went to a Women's Expo with one of my best friends about 4 years ago and we saw a bellydance troupe performance. I was in awe - there were women of all ages, shapes, sizes doing it and the costumes were just gorgeous & I loved the music instantly. The troupe leader had flyers for classes and so my friend suggested we sign up and take some. I stuck with it, she dropped out along the way, and eventually I was asked by the troupe leader (instructor) to join the troupe. And that's my story. :-) I've been dancing with the troupe for about 3 years now - we do everything from competitions to expos to various events and benefits. We have class for 2 hours every week and there are plenty of opportunities to go out and do solo performances (this is highly encouraged). It's been so much fun! Every woman should take a bellydancing class if she can find one.

  • What is your job? LOL, on which day?  I'm a lawyer from 8:30-6 M-F.  On weekends, I'm a face painter/henna artist.  And on weeknights, H & I run our business making and selling soap/scrubs/bath bombs/lip balms/etc.  And yeah, they all overlap in terms of time sometimes.

What is your favorite hobby? Acting.  I do community theater.  And I got cast in a show that goes up in May!

What was your favorite part of wedding planning? Going to look at venues with H.  We had fun, and the comparisons made for some weird stories.

I'm not sure, I didn't know I had a dress in my bio...lol. EDIT: Yes, that's my dress in my bio, but we are having cap sleeves put on it because I'm top heavy...that andstrapless don't mix well.

BUT, its my thunder that's being stolen, because clearly you found me on TK and put your wedding right before mine totally on purpose...haha : )

I don't play in the OCt board too much, so its nice to have someone i "know" right arond the same time as me.

<div>Emily--I used to work as an auditor (and DH still works as one).  I like that Chile has people auditing the auditors!  In the US it's all peer-reviewed.</div>
