what to call my "flower" girl

Ok, I'm planning on having my fiance's niece carry a teddy bear down the aisle versus a flower basket.  It's my first teddy bear and it happens to have the same name as my fiance, which my family always thought was cute.  It's also the reason why my fiance's secret nickname is TB or Teddy Bear. (Ok, everyone take a quick shot of Pepto.)

This is anal-retentive of me and I know none of my family or friends will care that much, but should I still call her a "flower" girl?  I was thinking of having her wear a flower wreath in her hair.  Again, no one I know will be upset, as in "how dare you have a flower girl with no flowers!  She was a teddy bear bearer!"

Yes, you can still call her a flower girl.  I think most flower girls these days don't actually throw petals anyway, because it can be a safety hazard.

Just call her a flower girl. 

If it really bothers you, get her to wear a flower wreath or something in her hair, but really, I promise you it doesn't matter.

You're overthinking this.

My flower girl is carrying a butterfly bouquet, and I'm still calling her a flower girl.  The only person who is going to worry about her title is the flower girl herself, and she probably wants to be called a Flower Girl (didn't everyone desperately want to be a flower girl at that age?!).

And this is beside the point but how cute would it be if the bear had a MATCHING flower wreath on his head?  Awww.....

Hahaha I love the real butterfly idea but, alas, its fake... and mine looks kind of like the one posted here but brighter, I was inspired by a wedding in MSW last year.

Although this reminded me of a story my dad told me about how someone he knew Somehow got hold of butterfly pheromones and put them around their outdoor wedding site to attract butterflies.  Sweet, right?  Well, apparently the pheromones were a little too attractive and there were like CLOUDS of butterflies, and they were even following the bride and groom into the limo as they were leaving because they had some on their hands.  Hilarious. 

And there’s some little girls dress brand, I think it’s Cinderella?, that comes with a matching doll dress!  I know I’ve seen it at Macys and TJ Maxx.  Dunno how big your bear is (and if you want to put your obviously boy-named bear in a dress!) but it could work out just perfectly!

I like it a lot.  I can't use anything with butterflies, sunflowers, or peacock feathers because they remind me too much of my roommate.  Not in a bad way, she's great, but I'd feel like I was using "her" stuff.  (Ditto for my sister and polka dots/sharks.  Not that I feel drawn to using sharks in my wedding in anyway.)

That sounds terrifying.  Like The Birds, only with butterflies.  Thanks for the teddy bear dress tip!  I'm not sure about dressing Jason in a dress, but I'll keep it in mind.  At least then I won't have to go to Build-A-Bear.  That place creeps me out!

Her own teddy bear in a dress is great.  Your proposal sounds very sweet!  I'm not phobic of Build-a-Bear.  I just don't like that bear stirring up the teddy bear guts.  Kinda Sweeney Todd-ish.
