Did you watch sesame street as a kid?
Yes. I also watched it during exam study in college - very reassuring.
Do you know anything about the musical "Avenue Q?"I know that it's muppets for adults and it was in Philly recently.  Didn't have a chance to see it though.

Next topic: Shakespeare. Did you have to read him in your curriculum?
I was an English major in undergrad

If so, what plays did you have to read? Too many.  My favorite though was Much Ado About Nothing.  I was actually laughing out loud reading it was was rolling when I saw the Kenneth Branaugh adaptation

Your favorite? Least favorite? Least favorite was Romeo and Juliet.  This isn't a romantic story to me - it's two stupid immature drama queens who wanted to play up a dying family feud.

Did you watch sesame street as a kid? hell yeah!  Ernie.  I luuurve Ernie.

Do you know anything about the musical "Avenue Q?" I know it has puppets and is not for children.

Next topic: Shakespeare. Did you have to read him in your curriculum?  Yup.

If so, what plays did you have to read? Macbeth, Hamlet, R&J, Taming of the Shrew

Your favorite? Least favorite? Romeo and Juliet is my favorite - I know so much of that play by heart.  I also really liked Macbeth.  I didn't care for Hamlet - it was just so farking long.

EDIT: and I don't think Romeo and Juliet is a great love story at all.  But, I think the words are gorgeous.
  • Did you watch sesame street as a kid? Yes

Do you know anything about the musical "Avenue Q?" I've never heard of it

Next topic: Shakespeare. Did you have to read him in your curriculum? Yes. They tended to have to explain a lot of the wording so that we could get through it without taking ages and ages.

If so, what plays did you have to read? Romeo and Juliet, Othello.  I think 1-2 more, possibly Hamlet or Macbeth but I have blocked those from memory.

Your favorite? Least favorite? I couldn't stand Shakespeare.
  • Did you watch sesame street as a kid? Yes!

Do you know anything about the musical "Avenue Q?"  It came to my city a few months ago.  My boss saw it and told me about it.  I had no clue what it was before that.

Next topic: Shakespeare. Did you have to read him in your curriculum?  I'm pretty sure we did in High School.

If so, what plays did you have to read? Macbeth.  I don't remember if there were any others.

Your favorite? Least favorite? The only one I remember reading was Macbeth.  It was ok.

Sesame Street?Yeah but not much. I was much more into bugs bunny, daffy duck, and all the other cartoon classics. When it came to muppets I mostly stuck with Miss Piggy, Kermit, etc.

    Avenue Q? This isn't ringing a bell

Did you have to read Shakespeare, what play?I'm from a SC public school so no. We didn't have to read it. We watched a really old movie of the Julius Caesar play. We then studied it along in the book but didn't have to read the entire play. We only studied parts of the romeo & juliet from the book. The teacher gave us the basic gist though.

Most favorite, least favorite? I really only know Julius Caesar and Romeo and Juliet. I like Julius Caesar much more than R&J. R&J was just dumb to me. I know it is supposed to be a tragically delicious love story but I just see two dumb, naive kids that didn't communicate very well.

EDIT: I do remember going over MacBeth quickly. I couldn't tell you what it was about. We seriously devoted three, one hour classes to it and it was over.

  • Did you watch sesame street as a kid?  no

Do you know anything about the musical "Avenue Q?" not really

Next topic: Shakespeare. Did you have to read him in your curriculum? yup

If so, what plays did you have to read? R&J (9th grade), Julius Caesar (10th it was required, but I'd read it the year before), Hamlet (12th), Antony & Cleopatra (freshman yr of college)

Your favorite? Least favorite? favorite is Macbeth, which I just read a few months ago.  Before that my fav was Midsummer Night's Dream.  Antony and Cleopatra was really disappointing for me, and class discussions ruined it for me.

Do you know anything about the musical "Avenue Q?" Hell yeah! My friends introduced me to the music a long time ago, and I managed to see it when it came to Pittsburgh a couple of years ago...I love it!
Next topic: Shakespeare. Did you have to read him in your curriculum? Of course, who doesn't?
If so, what plays did you have to read? Midsummer Night's Dream in 8th grade, Romeo and Juliet in 9th...Macbeth in 12th...
Your favorite? Least favorite? Midsummer Night's Dream is by far my favorite Shakespeare play ever...but I wouldn't say that the other two were least favorite, I love them both also...

  • Did you watch sesame street as a kid? Yes! I still find myself singing the "Don't Waste Water" song while I'm brushing my teeth.

Do you know anything about the musical "Avenue Q?" Yes, I've never seen it though.

Next topic: Shakespeare. Did you have to read him in your curriculum? Yep.

If so, what plays did you have to read?MacBeth, Hamlet and Romeo & Juliet

Your favorite? Least favorite? My favorite was Hamlet - mainly for all the sly insults that Hamlet slings at Ophelia. I wrote a paper on the various insinuations of Ophelia having gotten knocked up by Hamlet within the play, and when he finally told her, "Get thee to a nunnery" she couldn't take it anymore and killed herself. My teacher loooved it.

My least favorite was Romeo & Juliet. Thankfully, we studied it in tandem with West Side Story, so that made it tolerable.

  • Did you watch sesame street as a kid? Yes

Do you know anything about the musical "Avenue Q?" Just that it's dirty muppets, I don't know the plot

Next topic: Shakespeare. Did you have to read him in your curriculum? Yes, in middle and high school

If so, what plays did you have to read? A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo & Juliet, Othello, Macbeth...think that's it

Your favorite? Least favorite? I read them all different years, so I don't feel like I can really answer this. I mean, my least favorite was probably A Midsummer Night's Dream, but I don't know how much of that is because I was 12 at the time and thought it was boring, whereas Macbeth is probably my favorite, but I was more like 15 and actually understood it.

None of my english classes in high school required Shakespeare (oddly enough), so no.

  • ]Did you watch sesame street as a kid? Of course!  It started just the year before it was born.

Do you know anything about the musical "Avenue Q?" Yup, and really want to see it.

Next topic: Shakespeare. Did you have to read him in your curriculum? Of course.

If so, what plays did you have to read? Wow, that's a lot to remember... Hamlet, Macbeth, and Romeo and Juliet for sure.  Not sure if I had to read others, or just did because I like them.

    Your favorite? Midsummer Night's Dream

Least favorite? Can't really think of one.

  • Did you watch sesame street as a kid?  Totally!  I remember watching a couple of the Luxo shorts (the Pixar lamp) on SS as a kid, but I couldn't find any information to back that up until a couple of years ago.  I just thought I was hallucinating it.

Do you know anything about the musical "Avenue Q?"  I love it!  I could have seen it on Broadway a few years back when I was seeing Idina Menzel in Wicked, but I couldn't afford another $100 for a ticket.  Thus, I still haven't seen it.  Tragic.

Next topic: Shakespeare. Did you have to read him in your curriculum?  Duh.

If so, what plays did you have to read?  R&J, Lear, Othello, Hamlet, Midsummer, Tempest

Your favorite? Least favorite?  I loves me some Hamlet.  I hate Midsummer and R&J, they're both weightless and so terribly overdone.  (DH and I do have plans for a gender-swapped R&J if we ever get our theatre troupe going.)
