How often do you exercise? It used to be three times a week. I've been bad over the past weeks. Back to it this weekend.

What types of exercise do you like? Running!

Do you consider your self fit and active? I consider myself averagely fit and active for someone of my age. So there. :-)

Have you ever run a 5K,10K, half or full marathon? If so, how did you do? I almost ran a 5K a few weeks ago but wedding dress shopping got in the way. It is my goal to master the 10K over the winter!
• How often do you exercise? I've had some time off, but now I'm biking to work several days a week and running 3 times a week.

What types of exercise do you like? Yoga, team sports, and while I don't particularly LIKE running, it's easy and effective, so I do it.

Do you consider your self fit and active? Yes

Have you ever run a 5K,10K, half or full marathon? If so, how did you do? I've run 2 10k's - first one I finished at my goal pace of 10min/mile and didn't walk, second one I had a cold and did have to walk a block but was proud to have finished it since I was sick. I also ran a half with no specific time goal but just the goal not to walk, and I did that. It was really hard, but I am very happy I did it. I'm currently training for a 10k in 2 weeks.
• How often do you exercise? Not as often as I should, but I'm getting better. I take ballet once a week and stared lifting weights to get some strength in my legs.

What types of exercise do you like? Anything that doesn't feel like exercise, like ballet. That's just fun.

Do you consider your self fit and active? Not really, but I'm not a total couch potato.

Have you ever run a 5K,10K, half or full marathon? If so, how did you do? I ran a 10K and it took just over 2 hours. I'm just not meant to run.

How often do you exercise?
My one friend and I actually just reinstated our old "exercise pact" last week. Basically, we each had to do at least 20-30 minutes a day of something-whether it was going for a walk or popping in a tape, or even using the Wii Fit and everyday we had to "check in" to make sure we'd both done something. Since we started, yesterday was the only day I missed.

What types of exercise do you like?
I like all the "girly" stuff: pilates, yoga and cardio dance stuff. I live 2 miles away from a beach, so on really nice days, I will walk/run there and back.

Do you consider your self fit and active?
Oh, hell no. There's a reason we had to "reinstate" the exercise pact: we derailed from it about a year ago (After being good for 6 months), and I totally lost the motivation once I wasn't being held accountable.

Have you ever run a 5K,10K, half or full marathon? If so, how did you do?
I have not. I really would like to do a 5K someday, though.

• How often do you exercise? Not as often as I should. Probably about once a week. I try to at least take a brisk walk or do some Richard Simmons.

What types of exercise do you like? I really like aerobics and exercise that feels like exercise, but isn't so difficult it makes me feel like a big bowl of Jello.

Do you consider your self fit and active? Active? Yes. Fit? No. I'm pretty squishy.

Have you ever run a 5K,10K, half or full marathon? If so, how did you do? Never done it. I am not a runner.

How often do you exercise?
About every other day or every day depending on how much time I have. I'm about to leave for an appointment with a personal trainer

What types of exercise do you like?
Like?? None. I can't play sports anymore. If I really had to pick, I'd say yoga but to get the pounds down I need to do a ton of weights, stair stepping and treadmill.

Do you consider your self fit and active?
I'm fit. Just a size bigger than I need to be to fit into a bunch of skirts in my closet.

Have you ever run a 5K,10K, half or full marathon? If so, how did you do?
Nope. And since he saw how bad my right knee is during surgery, my orthopedist has banned me from any running, including playing soccer.

• Tldh, that's so frustrating! What's specifically wrong with your knee?
• How often do you exercise?
Usually between 3-5 times a week

What types of exercise do you like?
Running, yoga, dancing.

Do you consider your self fit and active?
Yes, but I could definitely be more fit.

Have you ever run a 5K,10K, half or full marathon? If so, how did you do?
Yes, I ran a 5K over the summer. I did ok. I finished in 30 minutes. I think I will do better the next time I run one. It was my first one, and I didn't know what to expect so I think that had something to do with it.

I ran 5K the other day, but it wasn't a race. Just me by myself. :)

I tore the right medial meniscus so part of it had to be removed. The doctor also saw that I have grade 3 chondromalacia in the knee that is from abnormal tracking of the patella. It's beyond repair.

• How often do you exercise? 2x/week at present. But I ride my bike to work Mon-Fri.

What types of exercise do you like? Running, kickboxing, and horseback riding (although I haven't done that in years and years). DH and I just got personal trainers and we get in two one-hour sessions each week. It's kicking our butts.

Do you consider your self fit and active? I'm very consistent, but not as fit as I would like to be.

Have you ever run a 5K,10K, half or full marathon? If so, how did you do? I've done a 5K, an 8K, the Manchester Road Race which is 4.748 miles and also three half-marathons. My very best time was in my most recent half-marathon, the 2009 Shanghai Toray and I managed to get through it in 1:58:47 despite the fact that my period came that morning. That was a tremendous effort.

Oh noooo. I had problems with minor chondromalacia in middle/high school, and it was annoying but doesn't bother me anymore. That sucks.

And MrsTing, I am seriously impressed by not only 3 halfs but a sub-2 hour half. That is not even a goal for me, it's so out of the realm of possibility.
• How often do you exercise? Very rarely. There's just no time, I'm usually far too exhausted by the time I get home from work.

What types of exercise do you like? I really like swimming. If we had more room in the living room I'd do DDR regularly, it's a hell of a workout.

Do you consider your self fit and active? Fit, no. I felt like I was going to have a heart attack yesterday after I'd pushed a cart full of computers a couple of blocks and then made multiple trips up and down the stairs to deliver them. (In my defense, it was also in the 90s yesterday.) However, as implied above, my job is relatively active.

Have you ever run a 5K,10K, half or full marathon? If so, how did you do? No, I don't really have the stamina for running, and I don't think my knees would take to it very kindly.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
• How often do you exercise? this summer it was 3-4 times a week, but since the semester started, once a week if I'm being good. I walk Noopy about a mile every day, but I don't really count that.

What types of exercise do you like? DDR, but like Aerin, I don't have a lot of space to do it. I've banged my feet on the couch multiple times. When I'm waiting for something (microwave, shower water to warm up, etc) I'll do squats or jumping jacks.

Do you consider your self fit and active? not fit b/c my muscles are really weak. I'd say about average as far as activity, since I'm on my feet to teach and take the dog out all the time.

Have you ever run a 5K,10K, half or full marathon? If so, how did you do? not as a race, but I worked up to being able to run 5K this summer (just over 30 min). I hate running b/c I get bored.
• How often do you exercise? Never. My body doesn't get hungry when I'm stressed so I lost a lot of weight before the wedding. The doctors actually told me not to exercise & drink at least 3 Ensures per day or else I would lose to much and would have to be admitted into the hospital. I haven't exercised at all in 6 months and can't until I get my weight back up.

What type of exercise do you do? When I can - running and crunches

Do you consider yourself fit and active? I'm the most out of shape skinny girl you'll ever know.

Ever run a marathon? Not even a little....and never will.
Anniversary
• @Emily: The sub two-hour goal seemed more like wishful thinking as race day drew nearer. Training for such a distance makes me feel so vulnerable! I tossed and turned the night before, agonizing over the thought that months of training and eating right and being disciplined about sleep could come to naught if only I tripped, or cramped up, or dehydrated. Racing is a crapshoot, no matter how hard you train. That's what humbles me.

Jenn, you mean you actually train your dog? You don't just sit around a feces-covered house getting mad at your FI and wishing the dog would just run away?
What a novel concept!

• How often do you exercise? 2-3x per week when I do, but I've been too exhausted/busy for the last couple weeks. I am on my feet for 35+ hr/week, though and lost too much weight in the last couple months.

What types of exercise do you like? Riding, which I don't get to do. I usually walk partway to the gym and do crunches, elliptical and rowing machine. I'm not really sure what to do right now though, I'm trying to gain muscle without losing weight.

Do you consider your self fit and active? No. I get off track too easily.

Have you ever run a 5K,10K, half or full marathon? If so, how did you do? Nope and I doubt I ever will. I dislike running.

That's how I feel, too. And my weight is cyclical (I gain/lose 10-15 lb regularly depending on exercise and eating habits) and half the time the loss is from lack of appetite. Either because there is nothing appetizing in the house or from stress.
• How often do you exercise? usually 3-4 times a week, more if I am really motivated

What types of exercise do you like? running, ellipticals, weight training

Do you consider your self fit and active? yeah, but I still am working on losing a few more pounds

Have you ever run a 5K,10K, half or full marathon? If so, how did you do? No, but would love to train for one. If I could just get the Hubs to do it with me.
• How often do you exercise? Mon-Fri

What types of exercise do you like? I LIKE sports (rugby, volleyball, softball, etc.), but I usually just end up running

Do you consider your self fit and active? I'm in vet school, so I don't have time to be active for more than about 30-60 nin each day, but when I have the time I love to be active!

Have you ever run a 5K,10K, half or full marathon? If so, how did you do? Nope
• ]How often do you exercise? Not nearly frequently enough.

What types of exercise do you like? Walking, hiking, skating, Wii Fit.

Do you consider your self fit and active? Unfortunately no.

Have you ever run a 5K,10K, half or full marathon? If so, how did you do? OMG, no! I don't run... unless I'm being chased by a guy with a machete.
