WPBP of the day

When you think  of velour track suits, you think of what?

Do you know anyone who is really good at ruining spoilers?

Are you traveling this Thanksgiving? By airplane?

Are you against the scanners in the airports?

When you think  of velour track suits, you think of what?
Low class New Jersey - think any one of the Jersey themed shows.

Do you know anyone who is really good at ruining spoilers?
No.

Are you traveling this Thanksgiving? By airplane?
No.  More than happy to stay home this year.

Are you against the scanners in the airports?
Absolutely not.  Went through one yesterday and it was no big deal.  People really need to get over this; I hardly think the person looking at the scans (and they don't see you) is getting their jollies from it.  It took years to develop but after 9/11, these are the scanners we need.

• When you think  of velour track suits, you think of what?
Older women that tan WAY too much and have too blond of hair wearing those velour Juicy Couture track suits.
Do you know anyone who is really good at ruining spoilers? I don't.

Are you traveling this Thanksgiving? By airplane? Nope, just going to my grandparents' house which is an hour and a half away.

Are you against the scanners in the airports? Sure I wanna be safe when I get to my destination- but I think it's gone too far. I'm okay with the basic principle of it.

Do you know anyone who is really good at ruining spoilers? I did.  We're not friends anymore (not because of that).

Are you traveling this Thanksgiving? By airplane? Nope.  It's our year with my parents.

Are you against the scanners in the airports? I don't know.  I've never encountered one.  At least not the full-body ones.

• When you think  of velour track suits, you think of what? Britney Spears' wedding to Kevin Federline - there were pictures of her and her bridal party wearing them

Do you know anyone who is really good at ruining spoilers? I remember Bbyckes ruining a spoiler on here, I can't think of anyone else.

Are you traveling this Thanksgiving? By airplane? No, not a holiday here :(

Are you against the scanners in the airports? I had to Google. I hadn't heard about them, which is funny considering how much I travel, but I haven't been in the US in a few months. I wonder how they can be safe since things like x-rays are not particularly safe if you have them often. Honestly, I think air travel safety procedures are getting over the top, so if these make things faster then that would be nice. No, I don't think I would feel violated by the image that pops up.
• When you think  of velour track suits, you think of what?
I always think of the America's Next Top Model episode where they did the photo shoot running away from "the ghost of fashions don'ts", and the one girl was put into a velour track suit, and Tyra later said "Oh, yeah, this is supposed to be one of those J-Lo track suits, you know they're totally 'out' now".

Do you know anyone who is really good at ruining spoilers?
Not really, and I'm very grateful for that.

Are you traveling this Thanksgiving? By airplane?
Not really. If I do "travel", the farthest I'm going is an hour away (Which, I don't know yet, because like I've said, my family sucks at planning Thanksgiving). All of the family that we see for the holidays is in the same state, and most of everybody is actually in the same county-which makes splitting the holidays for us pretty easy.

Are you against the scanners in the airports?
I am all for pretty much anything that will make being on a plane safer. I panic enough about flying, I really don't need to be panicing about getting hi-jacked in addition to everything else that makes me nuts.

• I know that somebody is probably going to think I'm total Jersey Shore trash for this, but I must confess, I still have a track suit from when they were cool (So like, what? 7 years ago?) ... and I still wear the thing around the house or when running out just to Wawa or something. It may not be stylish, but damn is it comfortable!

• When you think  of velour track suits, you think of what? J-Lo.  And general trashiness.

Do you know anyone who is really good at ruining spoilers? No...

Are you traveling this Thanksgiving? By airplane? By car.

Are you against the scanners in the airports? Yes'm.
• When you think  of velour track suits, you think of what? My FI's random aversion to anything velvety textured. Freaks him out like nails on a chalk board.

Do you know anyone who is really good at ruining spoilers? FI's Uncle is a non-stop motor mouth. Thank goodness we won't be seeing him until Christmas since there are movies we need to see first before he spoils them for us.

Are you traveling this Thanksgiving? By airplane? Yes, 6 hours by car because it is still cheaper than flying.

Are you against the scanners in the airports? As long as they are quick and move things along, I don't care.
I AM against this idea that we have to treat the pilots the same as the passengers.  Hello, they don't NEED to smuggle a terrorist weapon on board.  They're FLYING ONE.
Posted by StageManager14
Haha, so true! I didn't know that pilots were going to have to do the scans as well. This is what I mean about things getting over the top - I feel like so much of what you have to do to get on a plane in the US now isn't necessarily making you any safer, it's just been put in place as a knee-jerk reaction and a way to show "we're doing things to help." I mean I'm no bomb expert, but I have to believe that if I were, I could fly with 10 of my buddies all meeting the liquids requirement, and we'd have enough of whatever chemicals to blow something up. So it wouldn't stop that, but it's a pain in the ass for normal travelers.

When you think  of velour track suits, you think of what? The poor man's Kardashians.
Do you know anyone who is really good at ruining spoilers? Me.  I'm terrible.
Are you traveling this Thanksgiving? By airplane?  Thankfully, now that DH and I are on the west coast we can drive to our families for the major holidays, and we get to bypass the airport completely.  After a year of flying cross-country every two weeks, we're happy to stay on the ground for a bit.
Are you against the scanners in the airports? No but I am against the grope-happy, power-trippy TSA agents and their assertion that, "You lose your civil rights when you buy an airplane ticket" which is very much NOT true.  Check out one of my fellow San Diegan's experiences with our TSA here: http://johnnyedge.blogspot.com/2010/11/these-events-took-place-roughly-between.html
Having said all that, I have used them and they're a bit easier and faster.than the metal detector.

• When you think  of velour track suits, you think of what?
A ? because I don't know what they are.

Do you know anyone who is really good at ruining spoilers?
My brother. He can't help himself.

Are you traveling this Thanksgiving? By airplane?
Driving up to NC with my uncle to have TG with my dad's side of the family.

Are you against the scanners in the airports?
I don't like them, but I'd rather have the scanners than be touched for the pat-down.
In Response to Re: WPBP of the day : Yeah, a friend of mine totally spoiled the end of Walking Dead last week bc she didn't realize I was posting WHILE watching the encore, instead of after watching the original airing.  She felt so bad that she posted an apology AND called from Chicago.  I told her that since I'd accidentally outted a pregnancy twice in one week, I could hardly be upset at her for spoiling a TV show.  :P

<div>I would always get angry with my SS when she would post on her Facebook while or immediately after watching True Blood. I almost never got to watch when it was on and had to catch it on demand, so I made a point to take her off of my feed on Sunday nights.</div>
• When you think  of velour track suits, you think of what?  Sluts in training

Do you know anyone who is really good at ruining spoilers?  My DVR!  For some reason it doesn't record the first airing of Top Chef Just Desserts, but the immediate rerun, so I always catch the very end of the episode first and see who was eliminated.  Grr.  Also, I made the mistake of reading the TWoP recaps for season 1 of Veronica Mars before I'd watched the whole thing, so I got that spoiled for me too.

Are you traveling this Thanksgiving? By airplane?  No, we're just driving to FIL's house.  We were talking about going up to my sister's (also by car, I refuse to fly between mid-November and New Year's), but DH doesn't have Black Friday off, so that's out.

Are you against the scanners in the airports?  I'm not really comfortable with the idea of pumping people full of x-rays from a largely untested machine.  Luckily, it will be a long time before I have to fly anywhere, so hopefully the kinks will be worked out before I have to deal with it.

This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
• When you think  of velour track suits, you think of what?
Everything that is wrong with fashion. But more specifically, the ghetto-wannabee trash that visits here at the Jersey shore.

Do you know anyone who is really good at ruining spoilers?
Not really.

Are you traveling this Thanksgiving? By airplane?
Yes and no-- heading to Boston, but it's about a 5-6 hour drive.

Are you against the scanners in the airports?
I would rather be scanned than touched, and I would rather not blow up than blow up soooo.... yeah.
