I have been engaged since August but only started looking at Venues with my Finacee, for a summer 2013 wedding. My childhood bestfriend and now bridesmaid has now asked me twice for all my girls information so she could start talking with them and planning. Both times I politely turned he down and reminded her that my sister is my MOH and will do follow through on contacting bridesmaids when the time is right. Now, that we started looking a venues she is pushing me to tell her the date so that it won't interfere with planning her summer vacation. I told her the tentative date but won't tell her it is definate until I have given a down deposit to a venue.
I am annoyed that she thinks she is the only important person in my wedding, I have recently booked a date, but have not given a deposit as of yet. Should I tell her in advanced or should I make her wait for the Save the Date card? Also, Our friendship was a bit rocky before my engagement, how do I make sure her demands do not ruin the wedding or our friendship. She has great organization skills and I have already set her to some tasks, such as creating my vendor checklist and instructed my MOH to give her responsabilites that make her feel useful.
