Wedding Party

MOH question

Hello! I just got engaged this past Friday and am starting to kind of get an idea of what we want for our wedding. I know I will have a matron of honor, maid of honor, and bridesmaids. I'm having a hard time because my bestest friend and I have known eachother since we were less than a year old. We grew up together and nobody really knows me like she does. We made a pact a long time ago that we would be eachother's maid of honor. Of course as we have grown older, we haven't kept in touch as often. We talk maybe once a month or so now, to catch up and stuff.
This is where the dilemma comes...
I also have a younger sister (she is 19, I am 26) who I am very close with as well. She was involved with the proposal. I am so torn on who to choose as my maid of honor. I know I have a little time to figure everything out, but it's really weighing heavy on me right now. In all actuality, I believe it would be easier for my sister to be maid of honor, because she is family and more involved in my life these days. But I also want to respect our pact we made. I would love for both of them to be my maid of honor, but I know I have to choose just one.
I would greatly appreciate any feedback or opinions :) Thank you so much for your time and have a wonderful day!!

Re: MOH question

  • Don't choose just one..have two MOH's I have seen it done before and it turned out really well.

  • I would wait it out.  You just got engaged.  Once you have a date and are maybe a year or so away, then it's a little more appropriate to make the decision.  And by that time hopefully you will know.
  • Thank you for your replies!! If I have two MOH, is it still appropriate for him to have just one best man?

<div>Yes of course! Don't choose between them if they both are equally as special to you</div>
