Do you know how to devein shrimp? Yes, this is probably the only useful thing I learned from boyfriend number 5.
Have you ever had abalone? If so, what did you think? Yes, I even hunted for it too with my aunt carrying a crowbar around the beach cliffs. I thought it was gross. It's been over 15 years though.
Can your FI/GH or yourself grill an entire fish? Yes, he can, but he knows that I'll eat it but that it's not super appetizing to me.
Do you like sushi? What kinds? I effin' HATE sushi. I hate the texture. I love to eat fish, I love to eat rice and I LOVE seaweed, but for some reason, putting those 3 together is death!

Do you know how to devein shrimp? I do.  And if it isn't de-veined, I get very grossed out.  I know it's not exactly what I think it is, but it's still gross to me.

Can your FI/GH or yourself grill an entire fish? Yes.  My fiance really likes to do this.  I hate all the bones that are around.  And - ya know - the fish head on my plate.

Do you like sushi? What kinds? Yes!  Tuna, salmon and many many others.  I also think california rolls are awesome, which makes me lame.  But I eat the real stuff, too!

Can your FI/GH or yourself grill an entire fish? No, and even if he did, I have a NO FISH rule in our house.  No fish is ever allowed to be cooked in our house.  It smells so terrible.

Can you grill an entire fish? I've grilled a lot of fish but never an entire one. I like it already cut into nice little piece, minus the head, and then I grill it.

Do you eat Sushi?Nope, I never was into it very much. I had some bad sushi about 1 year ago and haven't had it since. I hate seaweed so I always get it wrapped in rice paper. I also only eat sushi with cooked stuff like shrimp or crab. FI loves it though (even though he hates seafood???).

Do you like sushi? What kinds? I like sushi a lot! There's a roll at Tiger Sushi in MOA that's my absolute favorite called the Scorpion roll. I'm not too picky as long as it's doesn't have tuna.

I'm sure my FI could, but we never have.  I like it in pieces with no head, tail, or skin....that just grosses me out!

haha.  I really just can't stand fish or seafood.  My mom and brother both love fish so when I was still living at home, they would wait until I would be gone for a day or two (cheerleading camp, flag camp, whatever) and they would have fish.  I would always be able to smell it the second I walked in the door. blech.

Yes, and it didn't look like jagore's picture Here in Chile locos (which are basically abalone, I think a slightly different species) are a delicacy. Stina, they really have to be cooked well, so I'm guessing that might have been your problem - cook them wrong and it's like chewing a tire, but cook them right, and it's more of a scallop texture. I like it.

Do you like sushi? What kinds? I love pretty much all sushi except octopus and the stuff that's got beef or chicken in it. Oh, and I'm not a fan of hot rolls like the ones they cook in tempura. I want my sushi cold and with raw fish in it.

Here is what the SHELL looks like. The part that jagore posted is what sucks to the rock. It's just like an anemone.

Can your FI/GH or yourself grill an entire fish? I can grill darn near anything, but I'm not a big fan of whole fish in general...something about eyes staring back at me makes me nervous...
Do you like sushi? What kinds? I love sushi, but it has to be something cooked...eel, eggs, crab, shrimp, or some kind of veggie...but I will go for an occasional tuna when the mood strikes...I refuse to eat anything with tentacles

What kinds?  Oh dear lord, I adore sushi.  My favorite is unagi (barbecued eel), but I'll try just about anything at a sushi place.  Shabu shabu is also mighty tasty.  In college, the dining halls would serve fresh-made sushi on a somewhat regular basis, and I was all over the surimi and tuna rolls.

The makes it seem like I don't like fish, but I really do love it.  In fact, it's time to eat my left-over trout.

Do you like sushi? What kinds? I have an answer for this one!  I'm not a huge fan of sushi, but I really like California rolls, and there are a couple others that aren't too fishy that I like.  And they can't be raw. 

I'm not a big seafood person at all, and I missed yesterday's WPBP...so I'm feeling a little lame today. :-)

Saxy, I'm going to show your post to FI.  He still can't get over that I never liked fish until I started tasting his at restaurants.  I've tried explaining that where you and I are from it comes beer battered, deep fried and usually out of a box.
