Proper way to do this

If I have only met one of my BMs family once but we hit it off great, is inviting them to the wedding weird or is that etiquette?  I just don't want them to get an invitation and think it is random but i know they would want to support me and see their daughter in the wedding   Thanks!

If you don't know them very well, I'd say it's probably more weird than not.

I have to agree with pps.  Only one of our GMs parents received a wedding invitation (and that's because DH grew up with his family).  While we know all of their parents and get along great with them, we are not close to them.

Unless your guest list is big enough that you're inviting very extended families, amicable co-workers, and friends of friends, I say weird.

To me, it seems pretty weird to invite ANYONE you've met only once to your wedding! Guest lists are tough enough to whittle down - why would you include these virtual strangers? No matter how nice they are?
