I found a few reasonably priced bridesmaids dresses at David's Bridal that I think will flatter everyone in my bridal party. My idea was to have all of them wear the same dress (in navy blue), but each choose their own accessories. I want to give them a choice of jewelry and shoes, and then, since my ceremony is outdoors in October, maybe a cardigan/shrug/shawl of their choice as well. I really want them to have one thing all the same (the dress) and then everything else can reflect their taste and personalities. I know they will look beautiful and choose great things, but I was just wondering if you ladies think this is a good idea, specifically:
-Do you think it will look bad if they have different colors for shoes/other accessories? Should I specify neutral colors?
-I know the new thing is to specify a color and have the bridesmaids choose their own dresses. Should I do that instead, or is it okay to choose the dress myself (obviously giving them veto power if they truly hate it)?
Thanks!
