How is this even funny? It was a waste of my time and I think I speak for more that a few people fortunately not people that find this kind of stupid behavior funny like PPs...I mean seriously are you that BORED that you must troll? I *get* that this is what happens on boards like this.

But I do think that when you create a troll just to be a troll, you take away from the message boards.  It's one thing to do it on Troll Friday - like E had unofficially years ago.

However these boards ARE supposed to be a forum of advice giving and at least a community of real people.  I don't really understand why people get so bored that they just want to stir up trouble.

I understand that they are for advice but I also think some people take them WAAAAY too seriously at times. I don't honestly believe that people with make a serious decision based solely on the opinion of strangers on a message board.

Really? I did on a couple things. I'm the second of my friends to get married, and there were a lot of things that people IRL wouldn't really have known the answer to like people on here did.

I think the problem is that to make the troll believable, you have to post "advice" to others, and that advice is destructive. So either you make a good troll but cause trouble when newbies take you seriously, or you avoid spreading bad behavior and no one believes you're real.

Yeah you have a valid point, its hard to know where the line is. I don't think I gave any really destructive advice. I felt like the regs would make sure I was in check so that the newbs knew I was out of line with my advice and when it seemed like my crappy advice was being taken (ie the fish poll) I made sure to go so far as to make my advice unbelievable like the fish checks, who in their right mind would do THAT?!? lol
