I am getting married in 8 months, so I know I have a lot of time to figure this out, but I've started thinking about gifts for my bridesmaids. We had a casual conversation the other night about it, and most agreed they don't understand the "matching jewelry" trend. I also agree because I've been in 4 weddings where matching jewelry was my gift, and I rarely get to use it again. I even had one bride DEMAND that we buy the matching earrings for the bracelet that she gave us. Yikes! I wanted to have a unifying theme to my gifts, but also personalize them for each wonderful girl. Here's what I'm considering:
I work part-time at Bath & Body Works and right now they have super cute cosmetic bags that I can get very cheap with my discount. I thought I would get one for each girl (I have 7 BMs) in a color they will like. Inside I plan to put a different gift certificate or gift card for a place they love.
MOH - Nail Salon Certificate - She is a new mom who has little time for pampering
BM 1 - iTunes - She loves downloading music!
BM 2 - Ulta - She's crazy about beauty products
BM 3 - Trader Joes - She stocks up on wine there regularly
BM 4 - Starbucks - She always has a coffee in her hand!
BM 5 - Ann Tayor Loft - Favorite store, hands-down
BM 6 - New York & Co - She is my FI's sister and we shop there together
What does anyone think? My girls are pretty practical and I know they will appreciate something they can use. And let's face it, in this economy we all want a little excuse to spoil ourselves with our personal indulgence.
I appreciate your feedback!!
