How Many Bridesmaids???

How many bridesmaids is too many? I have 6 but I have 2 other friends I'd like to add but is 8 too many? FI will only have 6 groomsmen so my last 2 bridesmaids would probably walk next to each other. Would that be weird?

Have as many people as you want! Some people have 2, some have 8, it is totally up to you! Personally, I didn't want an uneven bridal party, but I have seen many weddings that had uneven bridal parties and they have all turned out great!

I agree. It really depends on if you want those other 2 people to stand beside you on your wedding day. I had 6 BM's as well and H had 6 GM's. We didn't want un-even sides either (H was more anal about this than I was) but I have seen weddings where there has been and it turned out just fine.

Don't feel obligated to add 2 more BM's just for the sake of wanting to. And remember, the more you have, the more your RD will be and the more money you will spend buying gifts for all of them.

It's really a matter of perspective. I had two bridesmaids because I wanted to keep it simple, and because I don't have a ton of close girlfriends anyway.

Your call. 8 BMs and 6 GMs is fine. And why would it be weird if the last two BMs walked together? It's a walk down an aisle, not a statement about sexual preference. It's not like every bridesmaid-groomsman pair is automatically assumed to be boinking each other, right?

You could also have the last two groomsmen escort two bridesmaids each if you don't like the idea of the girls walking together.

Yeah u're all right! I just didn't know if anyone ever had 2 girls walk together. I do like the idea of the last 2 GMs walking with 2 BMs. I'll have to run this by FI. Thanks girls!

as many as you want! we have 4 groomsmen, 3 bridesmaids and 2...i don't know what the proper term for them are, but i'm having my 2 brothers on my side of the party..bridesmen, maybe? haven't really worked out the specifics of the walks yet, but i know i want my sister to double up with our brothers to walk down. will probably do that for each BM since just right now i realized there are twice as many guys. i think i just figured it all out..haha.
