No, no, I did not kick her out.
A while back I posted about my friend being due two weeks before the wedding. I made it clear to her that I want her to be in my wedding if possible, but that her comfort and the baby's comfort is of the most importance.
Today she let me know that she doesn't want to stand. She's too worried about getting fat (her exact words, not mine) and is afraid she might deliver late, which would put her having her baby just a few days before the wedding. Am I bummed that she stands the possibility of missing the wedding? Yes, but I know she wishes me the best and I'm excited for her to be a mom.
My question is, now that she's made up her mind, how can I honor her as still being part of the wedding? Or should I even?
I thought that I could put her in the program whether she's there or not. If she can come I'll have her sit in the front row (if she's able, if not she can sit wherever is comfortable), and have a large corsage or a small bouquet made for her (if she's in the hospital I'll send flowers to her room).
Any ideas?
