Wedding Party

What to do?

I am really not sure what to do now.  We are having a small but very traditional Jewish wedding over Memorial Day weekend.  We had decided that we were going to have our best friends as honor attendants and my children from my previous marriage were going to be our second attendant.
And everything was perfect....until my matron of honor told me her daughter will be graduating from high school the day before our wedding and may not even be able to attend let alone stand up with me.  So, being a grown up I got over it, I thought okay, I will just have my daughter, but when we met with the Cantor, who will be preforming our ceremony, he said we really need to fill in the gap left by her.

The problem is, I don't have anyone that I am really all that close with.  Sure I have friends, but no one that I really feel close enough to, to ask and since the wedding is less than 2 months away...it gets all the more difficult.

What should I do?  Should I just wait and hope my best friend will make it, and if not just have uneven sides.  Or should I just ask a friend to have someone fill in the hole?

TIA
