How to tell BM's of their gift?

When I booked my hair and makeup, I gave the BM's the option to get their hair and/or makeup done with me. Told them it would $55 for hair OR makeup, or it would be $95 for hair AND makeup. They all said for sure hair, but iffy on makeup. Then decided yes to both. So, I want to pay $50 towards their hair/makeup since I know the only reason they hesitated was because of money. So how and when do I tell them? I have already paid the full balance (I had to 30 days before). The wedding is next Saturday. Should I tell them now or while we are getting our hair done? I got them each a small gift too, should I just include that in the card in the gift? I am stuck.

The only thing I can think about with your post is that hair and make up is not a gift for them. It's a gift for you. You should DEFINITELY get them a little something else since you asked.

Ditto the other ladies - tell them sooner rather than later so no one will be stressing over putting aside an extra $50 for the wedding day. A simple text / email / call will do - Just let them know you put in the $50 towards each girls' salon services that day.

And yes, wedding hair / makeup does not count as a BM gift since it's something to be used in your wedding but since you got them each a small gift as well - you should be set with that. Just don't make the salon stuff the "main" gift....b/c that's not really a BM gift, as nice it is of you to do that for them.

I agree that you should tell them. If you want it to be a little bit more then a ''hey by the way i put 50 dollars towards your hair...'' perhaps make up a gift certificate and send it via email. It is a gift...just by the true definition of a gift, however, it is nice to get them something for them...which you said you did. You could also wait until the rehearsal dinner...you are getting married in a week..they probably already saved...it will be an added bonus or more money for a cash bar )
