Registery Question

At first we were not going to do a registery because we are only having about 50- 55 guests. Then I thought that we probadly should just so that at least if people are getting us something it might as well be something we want lol So I decided to do Target because of it being economical and all. So my question is can I do the registery online or do I have to go down to the store and do it?

Re: Registery Question

  • I'd check their website. It's nice to do it in person so you can hear the policies, benefits, etc. but you'd have to check
  • I don't know what it's like at Target, but lots of places will give you a little gift if you go in person!
  • I would go to Target and then start your registry in person and then you can always add/delete things from it online later.

This. Some items I was glad we saw in person because they were different than I expected.  It was also nice to see the reviews online from previous purchasers. Some made valid points and we switched a couple of things around!

  • I would probably recommend Macy's.  Retail prices might be higher, but they have sales all the time, and are always sending coupons.  Also people who work there are trained to deal with registry orders, whereas Target employees aren't always trained because it's not a main focus.  Normally I might see Macy's as expensive but lately most of my stuff has been on sale, matching other retailer's prices.

    Good luck!
  • You can definitely do it all online if you want.

This.  We went to set ours up and added things on but have done a lot online since initially setting them up.
  • We did all three of our registries online. It was convenient and worked for us. However, if we lived closer and had more time, I would have loved to do them at the stores.

Unfortunately we do not live anywhere near a Macy's. I was thinking Target because I know most peoples budget.

  • Thank you everyone for the great advice. Hopefully after the semester ends we will have more time to go in and do it in person.
