Earlier in the week I made a list of WR things I needed to make decisions on, one of which was to decide on and book a day of coordinator. I narrowed it down to two people and researched them on my local board. I read good things about both, but wanted a little more info so I made a new thread, named the two ladies I was considering, and asked for reviews.
Last night a poster who just joined TK yesterday and only has one post gave a great review of one of them. I just checked my e-mail and I have an e-mail from late last night from the coordinator mentioned in that post. In the e-mail, she said that she was going through past contacts and wanted to check in with me to see if I needed any additional information. The last time I had any kind of contact with her was in February.
Now, I should mention that she has stellar reviews--I haven't seen a review of her that wasn't positive. But, I don't know--it kind of rubs me the wrong way if it's not just a coincidence. I mean, on the one hand I understand a vendor reading the boards and contacting a potential client if they saw that person was trying to decide to use their services or not. But the post on the thread (which I'm not saying is from her, but is slightly suspicious considering they joined yesterday and have one post) makes it weird.
What do y'all think? Would you chalk it up to a coincidence? If it's not, what do you think of the whole situation? Would you still hire her? Sorry this is SO long!
