I posted about wedding planners on my Weddingbee blog today. I wondered if people who use planners really get better quotes from vendors. Check out this comment:

The bothers me for a few reasons:
1. It implies at all brides are seen as annoying, stressed out, bridezillas that are a pain to deal with.
2. The planners in my area start at $1,500 for DOC. The cheapest partial planner is $3,000. It seems ridiculous that someone with an extra $3K in their budget might get a discount while the girl who is pulling things together herself gets upcharged.
I've hired a DOC and my budget is just fine...I just get annoyed with the wedding industry sometimes.
